Just came across the video on yt, really nice review! I work at Next House, we have been open just one year so we are improving day by day. I totally agree with the hostel vibes, infact in the last months we introduced two new things to get it more which are hostel hour to meet other people (and redeem your free beer) and hostel dinner, which I think helped in that way :) At 15 obviously, if we have a lot of people and not so much time to talk with, but we are there all day and we are always up to some conversations (there's the main reason why I work there) Really honest and useful tho, I will talk about it. Hope you can come back in one year, to see if we improved! :)

@@getosuguruu For smaller hostels, check out WOODAH Boutique Hostel. They only have dorms with capsule beds, no private rooms. Super cosy place with a nice café. Top location, too :) Enjoy!

How do they assign which bunks you get (upper, lower, etc)?

Sometimes they let you pick at hostel. If it's very full they assign them when you check in.

The area seemed very safe to me. I didn't go out much at night but there were lots of Solo travelers.

Our dorm beds in a 4 bed dorm was about $45 CAD or $35 USD a night each.
