I'm rooting for this company. But guys...this is a premium product. The instructions at least need to be right. 10-20% of this video needs to be re-shot. 20-30% needs to be re-edited. There are GLARING errors. Again...premium product here.

I know this will sound weird but I noticed on the bolt install that he did round (shiny side) out on the washers. I was always taught you did it the other way with the rounded shinny side towards the surface to cut down on scratches and to get more accurate torque readings. Something passed down by old timers at the nuclear plant but could be a myth? Either way it looks better that way as the flat side being less shiny matches the powder coat more. Anyway you need the option to send back the red straps for green. Got mine a few days ago and am assembling it and the pro stand now and so far that's the only thing I hate is the straps, well other than the numerous nicks in the powder coat due to the shipping. A lot of my pieces had tore holes in the interior box all the way to the exterior box and had come through their wrapping despite you wrapping each part, the tape didn't seal on most of the bubble wrap it was very poor tape but it managed to find my instruction book and much it all up since it separated from the wrap. The end panel flat out had poor coating on it very rough and flaked of on the edges a soon as I grabbed it but I think I can touch it up, but for the price I shouldn't have to. I cant stand red straps. I wonder if I can dye them other wise they are going in a junk bin or I will see if anyone with a Boeing edition will sell me their straps.

Step 9 and 10 are illustrated wrong. The diagram does not match the actual chair setup. It shows the mount going to the inner holes which it doesn't its the other ones. It left out that the M8 bolt and washer you need is the preinstalled ones the regulars wont fit, and the rail over hangs, it does not sit flush like the drawings either. Luckily your video shows this as people going by the diagram will think something is wrong. I cant complete this step however as one of those bolts and washers needed was the damaged one you sent me that can not be installed cause the bolt head is solid and cant take the allen wrench 😑 Also want to point out it would help if you cut the bad music off and had talked through setup. Cause you gotta leave the bolt loose in step 9 and 10 to align everything as if you do it like the edit of this video shows with the back flush to the railing then there will be no aligning holes at the front. The rail doesnt move easily either to its whole adjustment range and had to use a rubber mallet to move it a few notched as it was "stuck" so the rails could extend enough for the right hole to be visible

I'm having this problem aswell, can't extend the seat to a point where I can reach the holes to screw in both sides. steps 9 and 10 are incredibly misleading

@@Radian333 Use the second slot on the front and rear to mount the seat rails in an even position both forward and aft. Dont flush the rail like they did. At 04:31 you can see where it needs to be.

@@StuartBoyer I know, I measured the holes and only the inner-ones line up, but I can barely reach one pair let alone the other since my rails don't extend that far

Thank you so much for the tip about using a rubber mallet to extend the rail fully. I realized the diagram was misleading and in the video there is clearly an edit between the part where he attaches the rail flush in the back and the part when he attaches in the front. Suddenly the rail is magically not flush anymore. But I was stuck as the rail wouldn't go far enough but your trick did it (I didn't have a rubber mallet so I hit it with a small wooden plank). It was still quite difficult to get those screws in correctly...

Grateful for the video, but let's tell the truth here... this is one of the most difficult and frustrating builds in the history of tab A to slot B. It was a 15+ hour grind of constantly aligning and re-aligning bolts that almost went where they were supposed to. If you are doing this build, I'd recommend not tightening anything until you the end because you will be going backward on steps and taking things apart to realign them. If you torque something too much on one side, it isn't going to fit the other side. Other tools I had to use on my build: - WD-40 (can't stress this enough) - Rubber Mallet - Clamps - Pliers Tools I thought I was going to need: - Drill - Tap & Die Kit - Forge to heat and bend metal Starting on Friday night, I finally got it all together, but wow - what a giant pain. I think part of the problem is that my Flight Stand Pro (with I purchased directly from NRL) came from a warehouse in Dallas / Fort Worth. Judging by condition of the ripped boxes, dented parts, scratched parts and flaking off powder coating, I'm guessing it was sitting in a non-climate controlled warehouse in 110 degree temperatures. It may have also been used as a speed bump for forklifts in the warehouse. Not sure. If you watch this install video closely you can see several dented and scratched parts, which is what I had too, except worse. Thought about sending mine back, but the thought of taking it apart once I'd had gotten in far enough to start noticing was too much. I just plowed forward and got it put together. It is a really sturdy product and I'm happy with the end result, but they could do way better on designing for assembly and in paying attention to ensuring that they deliver products in better condition. If you managed to put yours together, you have my utmost respect. Video is helpful, but highly misleading as to degree of difficulty.

Might have to RMA mine. still assembling and as I unwrap parts finding more and more large scrapped off spots of powder coat and on one part 4 bolts where left in a part and one of them was cross threaded bolt in it that was left in during the powder coat process as the bolt head was filled in with powder coat so you cant use the Allen wrench to remove it. Had to use pliers as the instructions make no mention of these bolts I assume was used as hangers during coating. A few parts have slight bends too in spots. One of the M8 washers in the parts kit also had a huge chunk missing out of it. Starting to wonder if mine was a demo that was repackaged or QC is that bad. Id recommend waiting on this for a sale as with the issues mine has it certainly isn't worth the full price they are asking. EDIT: Seat mechanism plastic covers are broken and handle is bent into the seat cant fix the covers but I can bend the handle back. 😐

Hi - does this support mounting a helicopter collective on the seat, such as the Virpil VPC Rotor TCS? They commonly mount to where the arms on a chair would mount. I notice in one video it looks like you support the winwing base - but that's designed for mounting on a flat surface, not a chair! Thanks.
@NextLevelRacing
@NextLevelRacing 10 ай бұрын
The Flight Seat Pro supports collectives on the Flight Plate or the Mouse Plate and includes compatibility with the Virpil VPC Rotor TCS. There are multiple configurations of where to position the two plates on the cockpit that are in a similar position to the arms on the chair. For collectives we recommend the mounting position described in Step numbers 43 to 47 of the instructions which can be found here! nextlevelracing.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/10/FLIGHT-SEAT-PRO-10102023.pdf

Step 21 is wrong. The provided bolts are too short (M8-16) to install with two nuts and clearly in the video you can see them get switched out at 6:06 - 6:08 for longer ones you dont provide. Thats flat out lying.

For those trying to make this setup work to install correctly you need to order four 25mm M8 Socket head flat screws to replace the 16mm ones they give you to be able to install as in this video.
