Another great review Karl! Seems unfair that some reviewers who are not as good as you get sent a lot of free stuff to review (DD wheel base for example) when you don’t! Keep up the good work and more manufacturers will get on board as your reviews are the most informative, interesting and entertaining on KZbin!

Bit late I know but I remembered this video and it affected my purchase., I had to prefab into three sections as I don't have enough room to get an assembled unit into my gaming space. I think it paid off, it was really difficult to put the wheel deck with the leg extensions in place, result, no wobble between the sections, once I'd got the pads leveled, it's rock solid. Seriously impressive wheel stand, if you can't fit a cockpit I've used them before and going back to a stand felt like a massive compromise, but this feels good, as long as your seating doesn't move in relation to the stand you're golden. I was lucky enough to pick up an ex demo unit, had the untouched blister pack and all accessories.

@@KarlGosling just have to say thank you.. bought the DD, fanatic elite, running on my cx 77 lg tv PS5 and having a ball. sux a driving thought loving it. you mentioned washers on the inside, I did that as well though found it moved slightly on the top shelf where the fanatic is installed. So since flanged already as you stated I took them off and stopped the slight movement. note on hardfloors its works quite well even with the wheels. though if you slam your foot into the brake like trying to put your foot through the floor it can move slightly. its just a matter of not trying to do that.:)

I have the Wheelstand DD. My main complaint is the angle of the steering wheel/wheel base. I removed the front casters completely and raised the rear standoffs a little bit. Stupid design if you ask me, but I'm already here. Hoping they will provide a rear section to connect a seat. Overall though, it handles the DD1 great.

Thanks for another great review Karl, I’ve been properly binging your channel for the past few weeks :) Don’t know what the chances are if you seeing this 3 months after the review, but I’m wondering what the folding possibilities with the DD are? I mean, I know it can’t be folded per say, but what’s the smallest it can possibly go for storage? Hello Karl. I watched a lot of your videos, really well made. I was playing on a desk with G27 for years. I am looking to make a Big step up for sim racing. Had a look at Omega GT, oplite, simlab and this as wheelstand. Due to a lack of Space and i don t really want to make a specific area for sim racing as I also use VR,I would like to try with a wheel Stand first in order to put the CSL dd, knowing next level racer said an option for Seat kit would Come later. Could you tell me if this stand could also be used to attach elements for keyboard / mouse ? And in addition to that, could it also be used for flight sim - honeycomb alpha yoke for exemple ? I know they do a flight sim usable as wheel sim as well but that one does not seem ideal for direct Drive. If you have any other suggestions for both usage in best conditions, do not hésitate to tell me Thank you

But I am still looking at reviews on that stand with the Fanatek CSL DD as it would be my main base to start (or other direct drive but I don t find ahah at least RECENT).
