Anything that makes the brake softer? I hate these pedals
@71_Rose9 сағат бұрын
Do you have to use the gas and clutch simultaneously like in the real world on the simulator?
@SimonWorlds9 сағат бұрын
No no, the initial play you are seeing there is what a real race car does when you start braking. There is an element of braking as the brake lines flex to thier stressed size. The pads get taken up, then there is still movement in the pedal, then there is no more movement, but more braking still increases. In the movement phase there is significant braking occurring already.

@KarlGosling Hi Karl, in your opinion what would you choose, this NLR F-GT Elite Lite or the GT Omega Hybrid as both are F-GT style, from what I've seen looks like the F-GT Elite Lite has more angle adjustments possible with the seat and pedal bases than the GT Omega Hybrid but is £150 more, cheers

I can confirm it's absolutely horrid. I bought one before seeing this. If you push on the pedals hard you shoot the centre bar out the holder. The centre deck is bendy af and its just crap. I've even welded it and its still bendy

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between "front" and "side" mount? Front or side of what? I think the pictures look the same. What about compared to the "Wheel plate" edition, what does that even mean?
@sharxboyКүн бұрын
I've watched your Next Level F-GT Elite 160 review as well, are you saying this one is better? It would be great to find out (maybe in a short video) why?
@KarlGosling23 сағат бұрын
Yes mate this is my preferred option, the time it takes to change driving position is 20 seconds versus 20 mins.
@sharxboy21 сағат бұрын
@@KarlGosling I hear you. For me, I won't ever be changing positions except to slide the seat forward or back. In that case, is that a seat feature? Or is that done by the rig?

@KarlGosling23 сағат бұрын
You must be new to my channel mate... perhaps watch a few more video's and the answer to your question will be obvious.
@charlesm758917 сағат бұрын
@KarlGosling True, I'm new to your channel and I thought the videos I watched were helpful. But, this video standing alone, struck me as less than objective. You have to admit there are deals made between youtubers and product companies, so it pays to be skeptical. Meant no harm, it was just an observation.

Definitely wrong about how the brake works man. You'd be insane to make the first stage the deadzone 😂
@KarlGosling23 сағат бұрын
I'm afraid you are wrong, take it from both Asetek who run race cars and myself who builds cars for a living... In sim racing can you choose to not have a dead zone (and you would), but that is not realistic.
@huludical123 сағат бұрын
@KarlGosling they allow you to creat a dead zone by backing off the nut at the very end of the the THORP which creates a little bit of space before the elastomer starts to compress.
@huludical122 сағат бұрын
I really dislike how he uses the go-kart as an example and I think he even confuses himself or something because he makes it sound like the soft stage is just the dead zone. He makes it sound like there is just 0% braking and 100% which is the fully compressed stage 2 and nothing in between. Bad example in my opinion

I just ordered this upgrade (now at version 2.2 "GT" that offers four spring rates from a super soft 15 kg, 23 kg (default), 30 kg and 38 kg). I have been using the GTeye spring for four years now (which is 20 kg). It was a huge improvement over the stock pedal but the pedal travel is still too much and 20 kg simply isn't enough. For me I suspect the 23 kg or 30 kg should hit the sweet spot as I do not like too hard a brake pedal.

Hi. First of all, thanks for all your videos Karl. For anyone who test this GT Omega Spring: I had a CSL DD 8NM plus a DC2 Pedals (similar to BJ, etc...). Do you know of any solution for the lift problem when braking with pedals with a load cell of 90Kg or more? Whether DIY or not. This folding cockpit has everything I'm looking for, except that small but big problem Thanks a lot!

@dove1875 күн бұрын
You mentioned that you dont have to use that adjustable adapter plate for the wheel deck and that we can judt bolt the wheel motor right onto the cross arm. Would the moza r5 work with that as well?

@lampie19735 күн бұрын
I also got myself this one in combination with the Moza R5 and it is a very nice combination. I don't notice the flex myself but the pedals of the R5 are also quite soft. So for a beginner it is definitely a nice cockpit. I also put 2 bass shakers in there which makes it complete (1 under the pedals and 1 fits on the side under the seat without even having to screw anything). Thanks for the review which completed my choice

Hello Karl hope this comment finds you well, I got a 4 corner buttkicker gamer plus for Christmas. I noticed you said you had set up yours using simhub. Do you mind sharing any directions on how did you achieve the shakers to act individually. @ak-iy4yb8 күн бұрын
There is no Prime Lite R in US site to this date. I just purchased Prime Lite. It was over $350. With the seat at $170, it's over 500. Then the shipping was $220 lol. I'm new to this and bought it a few days ago when I was drunk lol. Before that, I had hesitated and gaped at the shipping cost. Prime lite was about the cheapest but quality cockpit I could find. Still you would be slapped with near $900 including everything. Just know what you're getting into. I have an old Thrustmaster wheel and pedals. Looking into the set, it looks like I could spend another $900-1500 in a decent set (I use ps4 to play GT7). The cost is nothing compared with my RC racing days but still this is not a cheap hobby. Good thing is this doesn't really have any recurring cost once you buy the rig and wheel/pedal set. That's of course on the condition that you don't go crazy with all those e breaks, expensive peddals and shifter. Seems like most people play the sim with their computer. You can get away with $1000 to get a full set of computer but then you might want all the accessories to put the keyboard, some crazy looking controllers (I have no idea what those are), TV mount if you want, Triple monitor if you want, vibrator under the seat and so on. This could easily become more than 5 grand expense.
