Keep up the good work Joe ! When cleaning from the roof you should consider spraying back to the ladder , no good can come from walking on a roof soaked in soap and SH. As an example, you could have started on the far right, and worked back to within two or three of the ladder, then went to the far left, and worked back to within two or three feet of the ladder. This would leave a 4-6 foot wide path of dry roof to spray directly above the ladder, you simply spray your way down to the ladder, and never walk on a wet surface. :)

What type if mix are you using that is taking off the paint? Also as a good rule of thumb it's always good to ask the home owner whens the last time they washed or had it washed? You could be running into a problem they or someone else has caused. Happens all the time in every application whether it's roof, house or hard surface washing, even fence washing or staining fence.
@THEDUDE912
@THEDUDE912 2 жыл бұрын
That has only happened to me with gutter zap solution but if you're getting that from SH I can only imagine that you're using something like 12% straight. People have to realize SH is key but its highly caustic. And rarely do you see anyone neutralizing bleach at end of job which is equally as important to limit any further bleaching action.

Hey! If you’re branching out let me know. I’m in Maryland and I would love to join you. I don’t have a complicated setup. I have a electric Pressure Washer that I have used to do some jobs and it’s worked well for me. I only have a 2017 Toyota Camry so I needed something small and I couldn’t find a gas powered on that would fit in my trunk. I Pressure Washer with a SJ electrical Pressure Washer/ 11” surface cleaner/ turbo nozzle. I started my business in July and from word of mouth I have done about 12 jobs. Patios/ sidewalks/ fences/ stairs. I work full-time for one of the largest insurance company’s in the United States so I can only do jobs on Saturday/Sundays! If you know of any gas Pressure Washer’s that will fit inside the trunk of my Camry please let me know. I would love to go gas but I don’t know where I would store it because j in have not shed. I live in a townhouse and our HOA is anal about everything. Thanks in advance!

How much SH does a roof like that take? Is there a rough formula you have for expended chemical per square foot?

Lots of variables there. Application method, SH percentage

If you're talking simple things, like "normal driveway" or "normal roof" since obviously the conditions being worse than normal would be something else. Might make for a good video for us newbies@@powerfulimprovements

On the roof part on beggining you said “set it and forget it” and that you hit it and left it. Did you mean you didn’t rinse it? You don’t have to rinse roofs?(im a new guy looking to learn)

That drive way streaking really bothers me: I feel bad for you. What could you have done to avoid it? Rinse it, eventhough you didnt wash it??? Is this going to be an issue with all asphalt drives? Or just newly sealed ones? Sorry that happened to you.
@powerfulimprovements
@powerfulimprovements 4 жыл бұрын
Rand Sollie never happened before. It was a combination of 2pm beating sun and new sealant. I did rinse before and after. Clearly not well enough. I’m hyper aware of it now.
