question for the 2GPM. if you do 10%/0.8 =12.5% thats not possible right?
@Mrcleanmo5 ай бұрын
You are correct. But most likely you have a 2.5 gpm machine. So you would average out between the 2 gpm and 3 gpm which would give you an xjet draw of one. Average out .8 plus 1.2 gives you 1.

What mixture do you recommend for gas station canopy soft cleaning for my 3.5 GPM pressure washing machine?

Why didn't you divide the bleach percentage by the total parts of the mixture?
@mitchward19786 ай бұрын
Wouldn't that make your 2% soap mix come out at like .75%

Not sure if I did the math correct can you please verify that a 5 gallon container (3.5 gal water & 1.5 gal of 12.5 HS) gives you a 3.1% mix?

If you are "pre-mixing" your SH instead of using one of the proportioners I don't see any advantage of using the X-Jet. Why not just use a downstream injector to apply the pre-mixed solution, which is WAY cheaper and less work than an X-Jet. Without using a proportioner you are basically using it as a downstream injector at the tip of your spray wand instead of at the pump. When using the X-Jet, with its' short hose, you have to keep moving the solution jug as you work your way around the house. If you use a downstream injector you can leave your solution jug at the downstream injector, which is almost always at the pump location. It's a lot less work and time involved using a downstream injector at the pump

I called xjet, and they confirmed to get the proper dilution you need all parts. So, you would divide by 2.6 not 1.6. Everything else was completely right though

Buddy needs to retake math...1.6 gallons of H20 + 1 gallon of SH =2.6 gallons of diluted mixture. If you want the concentration of SH you don't take H20 percentage. So it is 1 gallon of SH /2.6 gallons of diluted mixture = roughly 40% of the diluted mixture. Then times 40% x (your concentration of SH you said 10%) 10 = 4% SH gpm with this x jet head open. I you think about your math a 1:1 ration is 50%. (1+1=2 , 1/2= .5 x 100 =50% of diluted mixture ) so you can't get high concentration of SH then 50%x 10% = 5% if your water mix is .5 gallons more then your SH. Hope this helps you guys

I believe you misunderstood what I said in the video. My video stated that in a 1 gallon bottle of 10% pool chlorine, there are 0.1 gallons of SH and 0.9 gallons of water. If we add 1.6 gallon of water like you said above the total water becomes 2.5 gallons. The ratio of SH to TOTAL SOLUTION is 1: 2.6 - This is how you calculate the strength of a solution. You find the ratio of the active chemical to the total liquid in the bucket. That's the "%SH" the solution is. The ratio of SH to Water would be 1:2.5 in your example. This is just the ratio of SH to water. This is not how you calculate the strength of a solution. Why? Let's use a 10% bottle of pool shock. If we followed your math where we calculate the strength of a solution by dividing the amount of SH the amount of water, we get 1/0.9... Which equals 0.111 That would mean the pool companies are lying and they're 10% bottle of SH is actually 11%. To summarize, you find the strength of a solution by taking the volume/amount of active chemicals in it and then dividing by the total volume of the whole solution. You then divide this number by the open proportioner on your Xjet card to get the strength of your solution.

Incorrect info. You have to add both parts then divide. Example 1.6+1=2.6 then do 10%/2.6=3.85% this is info straight from X Jet
