You know what David, this is possibly the best plugin you've reviewed. The fact that this is possible with antiquated technology format (AAX, VST3, etc.) is absolutely incredible. It’s kind of garbage that I am a current owner of vocalign ultra 5 and in my account there is no cross grade pricing to vocalign ultra 6. I guess I’ll just stick with ultra version 5

Then I scroll down under “more products” and I have cross grade pricing for re-pitch (which I have no desire for) but nothing for vocalign 6, it just wants me to pay full price.

@@hightyde It might be because you didn't have your iLok connected. I googled this: "How do I receive upgrade or crossgrade pricing? Synchro Arts" and clicked on a zendesk article that helped me solve the issue. If not, just get in touch with them, you should get a 50% discount if you are a vocalign owner.

No VocAlign 6 Pro ARA native integration for Logistic users with M1, 2 or 3 unfortunately.. tho' you can load with Rosetta.

Couldn't agree more with your philosophy on tuning vocals! Hard tuning only really works in electronic music or anything where the aesthetic is to sound less 'human'. For pop, rock, jazz, country and metal, it's absolutely awful.

I have Studio One Pro, both 5 & 6. I've been through several upgrades with SynchroArts, and their TS dept stinks. I had a problem with each one. I also hate I-Lok. I have Project 5, but when I got that upgrade from its previous version, I made the smart choice to buy it through my sales rep at Sweetwater, and was a sound---no pun intended----decision, as I had a problem with that upgrade. BUT Sweetwater has a superior TS Dept and they got it fixed for me. So I'm reluctant to go through that again. I enjoyed most of your Video and did a good job on going through all the new options. However, I was waiting for a "harmony" example, which you never got around to doing, which to me, is such a major point in aligning vocals. To me, with your Unison example, ya just can't hear the differences as well. I have even used Proj 5 to align multiple EG harmony tracks, as I sometimes have used up to 4 harmony Gtr tracks for intro's, fills, turnarounds, etc. SO still not sure I want to take the chance with another upgrade with this vendor. IF I do, it will be through Sweetwater instead.

I've already said that but I'm gonna repeat it: you can never go wrong with Synchro Arts! Just a question David: for what you saw about it, would you recommend using it to tighten up some sloppy notes in like a rhythm guitar tracks in a rock song? It's be amazing if it worked out as well as it does on vocals! Edit: the only thing that sucks is that Ableton - the Daw I use - doesn't have ARA integration...

I tried trial on polish rap vocals and was awful. Mic I used is WA-8000. Maybe It didn't worked because I used analog gear API Channel Strip before using this plugin. Is it possible? Vocals were stretched and sounds unnatural. I was dissapointed because I have a lot of work with time correction (L and R adds for technically, fast rapped rap vocals).

I don't want this to come out wrong but I promise you, it's not the software. VocAlign is THEE industry standard. A lot of people use this line but VA really is. So basically it was used on almost any single modern charting record out there. No the gear has nothing to do with it, there are two cases in which you could have been unhappy with the results: one, the performances are so far off that can't be saved. And 2, your settings are way off

The nomenclature changed. So pro is the "equivalent" of Ultra. The updates are ARA, sync points, groups, different pages for each processing, smart pitch (existing features have better algorithms)

Great software, but terrible customer service. Be aware that next year Synchro Arts will change the name again and charge you 50% of the price new customers pay. They also don't respond to tickets, mails or other messages.

Could you imagine if they actually had a video on how to use the software anyone who’s never tried this please do the trial because nobody shows you how to use it. It’s clunky and Ableton. It’s really hard to use. It’s hard to figure out you’re going to spend more time doing this then just lining them yourself so please somebody come out to use. Everyone you look up they don’t actually show you how to use it. They try to sell you something and they try to push something. Where is how to use?

No brainer... not much more to say. If this is your business then you have increased the speed of projects which will increase the amount of projects you can take on in a year... so you just increased your profit. Time savers in the studio are always no brainers... you need enough brain to understand this though lol
