Well I thought the graphic changes, where going to be more "evident" but always all are welcome. I wish the fuse bombs comes finally, Yak52 temperature fix and please... one day.... AI UFO flying removed. By the way... please ed, add an engine sound to that tank while is turned on... it seems electric one.

Wow guys there is finally a good momentum going on there. We need those LOD's for F-16, Hind, Apache and numerous modern AI assets released in last 2 years. Also last modules desperately need texture optimization can you please pass this to your colleagues!.

The most needed update of WWII modules, in my opinion, is the face lifting of the spitfire.

You guys should really really do a damage model on ground vehicles similar to what ARMA had. That and maybe a slightly less suicidal AI would make DCS one of the best tank games out there. It would also lay the foundation for ground vehicle modules.

I was showing you an early iteration of the the new functionality and the next update should include engine sounds providing they pass the testing phase prior to release.

So since the Mosquito's been dropped 6 months ago, this is all the fixes DCS Warbirds has had? This is pathetic from ED. Why isnt anyone doing anything about the empty MP Servers?

Wouldn't it be nice if ED worked closer with OctopusG so that the I-16 didn't get flagged as a virus and i could fly it again, instead of telling me to whitelist 100+ GB of data from my AV scanner (e-SET BTW). Seems like these updates are largely almost imperceptible (except the JU-88 LOD issue and the compass) but given the weight of them being game-fixing.

We have flagged many false positives to antivirus companies, but they do not always react quickly and we can not cover all of them, I would suggest you submit the quarantined item to your provider so they can check it and hopefully mark it as a false positive.

Will they ever fix the spotting? 109 & other planes that work vertically (you know what I mean) have to spot over green background and it's a hell.... Total blind on dot over ground..

So that's one bug fix of any significance, but lots of good news for people who like peering inside the Mossies gunsight or have an FW-190 with a targeting pod. Outstanding. I don't expect to see this comment survive, if there's one thing ED can't abide, it's criticism.

There is no magic button for fixing everything at once, it takes time, we have already fixed many things and continue to. I don't expect you to to understand this as I know it is difficult to see the work from the outside, but our WWII team is working flat out. Thanks

@@BIGNEWY Sorry, but after being an ED customer since the days of LOMAC, I just don't believe anything the company says any more. The FW190D engine bug took years to address, and that's just one thing out of a huge list. WW-2 DCS is dying on it's feet and still you aren't dealing with the fundamentals - there is the spotting issue which makes air combat frustrating without labels, the ridiculous accuracy of AAA which makes ground attack suicide, AI that can see through clouds and trees, no flarepaths on the runways for night operations, compasses that don't work as they should and engines which over cool or over heat when they should be running properly. Asking me to wait isn't going to work, I've tried that and very little has happened. I honestly don't care any longer about ED's problems, or your excuses - I am a customer who has paid good money and I expect a product that at least approaches being useful. A product that isn't always broken in one area or another by the latest update. This early access model can't go on forever you know, eventually enough people will realise that what they are buying will probably never be properly finished and they'll vote with their wallets. Or a developer will come up with an alternative realistic air combat simulator and people will move over to that. What I would like to see is a change to consumer law that deals with the Terms and Conditions which allow software developers to get away with delivering shoddy products and then never fix them. I'd suggest that ED change their culture, but there isn't any point, because you never listen - or you pretend to listen, make soothing noises and then go right back to the way you were before. ED remind me of my ex wife, and the reason why she's an ex :-)))

My friend who has an issue with his eyes turns the smoothing up to full and recommends to remove the jittery effect when looking around.

Something I haven't been able to figure out on my own about the mosquito, how does it retain boost so well with altitude ? Feels like it's immune to pressure changes up until the last few angels before gear switch. Is there a modulator system I don't know about ?

It's a simple as gearing for the supercharger the first stage could be optimised for a higher altitudes but if your below that you need an automatic boost regulator so you don't over boost the engine and this has a negitve effect on engine performance at the same boost pressure, and is called throttling

​@@aussie_t0min8t0r That does not really explain the seeming lack of manifold pressure loss with altitude. Test it yourself : set power (I used max continuous) and leave the supercharger switch in auto. Climb and watch the manifold pressure. In my experience it doesn't drop anywhere near the speed even the spitfire does. The DCS manual and any other document I've been able to find only ever mentions a two speed single stage supercharger, nothing else. Hence the raised eyebrow.
