I know you like the strip jumper but I would avoid drop shouldered items as it makes shoulders look even larger! The trousers need more of a structured fabric

Good haul Maria, the striped jumper was nice from the front but not at the back it didn’t need the v back imo. The animal print top looked fab on you loved that ! The trousers looked great as well flowy wide leg trousers are lovely for holiday . I had some in Florida and was surprised how cool they were. The maxi dress was the star if the show and that will be lovely for your holiday if it still fits you then . We are off to florida on Wednesday and none of my summer clothes fit so what a Shane I’ve got to buy all new lol . Have a fab weekend x

Love the leaf print dress but I'd have to chop about 8" off the bottom and re-hem it - that always seems like such a waste of money, I am buying extra fabric then cutting it off and putting it in the bin!

Hadn’t realised Yours and Next under the same umbrella. I liked the first sweater best but do find the v at the back of the neck odd. Try as I may, I just can’t enjoy the wide leg trousers. However, to show how contrary I am I happily wear my wide leg white linens! The animal print blouse is a winner for you….loved it! Are you going to keep anything this time?xx Liz

Hi Maria, another video of clothes that suit you. I have some black trousers in a lightweight fabric which I only wear for festive evening events, or in summer. I find that when I wear them with knee highs they cling like you mentioned. They are ok with bare legs. I don’t think you were wearing any knee highs so it must be the fabric. The clinging is really annoying, so take them back. I liked the striped jumper, but not the V neck at the back. The green jumper was nice but as you said the sleeves are too tight. The animal print tunic looked good on you, but IMO would look better with slimmer leg trousers (as would the green longer length jumper), but I am not a fan of wide leg trousers) so it’s up to you. The dresses are nice apart from the fact that I think the waist level would look better a bit lower down. I would not be comfortable wearing them, but you know how they are when worn. I love the black trousers on you and I absolutely loved the black strip jumper and thought I might go buy it, then you turned round. I don’t know what they were thinking with the back. I’m sorry to have to say it gives the illusion of a hunchback. So it’s a big no. Love the animal print top, and the length of the jumpers. I agree with you it is nice to have longer jumpers. Nice haul.

Hello Maria, I think the issue you're having with the trousers is the combining of a heavier weight top with trousers that are too thin, which makes for an unbalanced feel on the body. The rule of thumb is either heavier weight items on the lower half with lighter weight tops or a top of equal weight eg: a silky blouse, light cotton shirt or T-shirt would pair better with the trousers. Trousers with sweaters are best in a heavier fabric such as wool trousers, denim as in jeans or a polyester blend as in suiting style trousers. As in shapes and proportions, fabric weights need balance. The trousers are more of a Spring/Summer weight which allows for lighter fabrics on top. You would get a completely different impression when the fabrics are balanced out.

The animal print blouse was lovely - if you don’t mind me saying the green jumper is nice but I feel the round neck is too high for you - I don’t know why but I often have the same issue with round neck garments - don’t know if it’s to do with as being more mature your body shape alters somewhat - I am older than you so please don’t take offence !!
