I was a born in 1955 so was a late 60s early seventies teenager .my mum used ponds cream everyday she had lovely skin .Also remember the block palate of mascara with the wet brush .Most of makeup bought at good old woolworth was best shop on high street not much you couldn’t buy there .😊Thank you Maria bringing back a few happy memories .❤

Hi lovely Maria , i think the eyeshadow really suits you...i remember using Miners i think it was called , and buying it from woolworths , so miss that shop...😢😢 , and that mascara , i think you had to wet it then use that little brush that came with it....😅😅 they don't know there born now...., and Max factor lipstick , the smell reminds me of my mum....😊😊, And of course Nivea in the blue tin , takes me right back ....happy days when we were young.....😂😂 , really enjoyed talking about those days....take good care luv Mandy xxx💕💕💕

Same I was born on the 50 s bought my makeup from Woolworths , rouge and used to draw my bottom eyelashes too 😊

I was born in the 1960s too, i have never really worn make-up. I have sensitive skin and eye makeup used to make my eyes stream with tears ! I can't remember what make-up my mum had ! She used to wear it . I did enjoy the magazines of the 1970s which included make-up tips and looking after your skin . Love your make-up and the blue top is lovely. I will watch Becky's vlog soon . So lovely that she cooks for you. My children were born in the 1980s. Leo is growing up fast nearly 10 ! Hope you all have a wonderful Sunday ❤

That was great I remember the block of mascaras. Used to spit on it. How disgusting lol I used to do my eyes really dark like dusty Springfield. I loved that look. Thanks for that Maria really enjoyed seeing you all. I hardly wear any make up now. Prefer a more natural look. I do like my eyeliner tho. I was born mid 50’s

Hi Maria, you did well as not an easy look to produce. On reflection Twiggy was amazing to produce the effect, but she probably had some studio help to produce such dramatic results. I was experimenting with makeup and can remember taking it out with me to put on later as my parents disapproved. That was probably when I was at senior school. Yes memories of the solid mascara and brush, and panda eyes if you cried! Thank you for filming.

Hi Maria, i was born in the 50s and started using make up in the twiggy era. It was quite unsophisticated, my main memories are of block mascara, black eyeliner, pan stick and very pale lips. I did have a go at drawing the little lashes under my eyes but never with much success. ❤

Afternoon Maria , I was a teenager in the 60s i never used eyeliner but did use blue eyeshadow pink lipstick and I did use the block mascara no blusher and hair laquer you bought in a tube and transferred into a bottle which had a tube inside and you woul d squeeze the bottle onto hair . Later in 60s hair spray came in and mascara in tube and of course tights .❤

Enjoyed your video Maria. You did well with the make up, but not really sixties. Eye liner looked good on you too.I was a teenager in the sixties and wore blue/green/silver eyeshadow, drew on some bottom lashes like Twiggy and eye liner flick ups. Spat on the little brush for the mascara, very pale lips, Mary Quant number 2 or Minors Yellow Kick. Panstick or Creme Puff as foundation. Thin eyebrows. I remember it well although I'm 77 now 😀 oh yes and squeezy bottles of hair lacquer the hairdresser would fill up for you, hair would be stiff as a board and not move for a week !!! Happy days.

Hi Maria I was a sixties teenager we used pan stick foundation and put it on our lips as well no coloured lipstick was allowed..it was all dark eye makeup with false eyelashes and big hair..we loved it ❤❤

You done a realy good job of your 60s makeup, I was a teenager in the sixties,,and use to. copy the way twiggy put her eye makeup on, i use the block mascara pan stick on the face, I loved the smell of that,and over the lips as well,the emphasis was on the eyes. After lots of practice, I did manage to get the eyes like twiggy,I tried false eyelashes but I visited London one day,it was quite windy and one blew off ,leaving me with white glue on my eyes,so embarrassing. Can’t do any of that now sadly..

I was a teenager in the 60s and for the first part of that decade I was a tomboy, more interested in horses than boys and makeup! But when I discovered makeup I remember my father used to comment that I looked as though I had stood in a tunnel with a train coming. A steam train obviously! This was because of my eye makeup up and he also said I looked ill because of the pale lipstick we wore then. I suspect I just rolled my eyes at him! Xx Liz
