I have one; however, I have mixed emotions about it. I understand how challenging it is to develop a product like this, and I acknowledge that its price is justified compared to a budget dash cam, especially if you are looking for a complete parking mode with motion detection and cloud without draining your battery. Unfortunately, the rear camera hasn't been functioning at all. The most valuable feature and selling point for me is the parking mode, and without the rear camera, it feels incomplete.

Hi, I am looking at getting this to replace a Blackvue 900 with separate LTE module that is suppose to have similar remote monitoring features. However, this has never worked right (very buggy) so looking at the IQ. I have read a lot of negative comments, including those specific to the rear dash cam. I don't need the rear dash cam right now (i may later add that) but would you say if you only bought the IQ without the rear camera, would you be happy with it? Especially looking at the remote capability. I am hoping they work out all the bugs, including those for your rear cam.

@@panzer948 IQ seems not to drain the battery (I have a new one and I live in a relatively hot climate), even if I do not move my car for some days and even if I have hundreds of videos recorded in parking mode. Most of the motion detections from the radar are false positives, but it actually records when someone is walking near the car or other cars pass by. These motions are stored at sd card. If there is an impact on the car, it saves it to the cloud and sends notifications quite quickly, depending on the LTE signal. So, you will catch a hit and run from the front if you have only the front camera - I mean when the g-sensor is triggered when needed. However, if someone could quickly break the glass and disconnect the camera, the recording may not be uploaded to the cloud. I would prefer the SD card to be hidden elsewhere, not on the camera. The live view of the car works like a charm when the signal is good. I have no problem with this, of course; it does not work in underground parkings. The front camera shows all of the front and the cabin, and the sides of the front windows; beyond the rear, you cannot see too much and of course no vehicle registration plate or face withour rear camera. If you want to see a motion detection (it is stored on the SD card), it works well. But if you want to search through hundreds of files, it is better to have another SD card so you can bring the first one to your computer because it is not so fast. I bought another SD card with the same specifications, but it doesn't work as well eg if you want to store a video from sd card to the smartphone. Therefore, I purchased another one from Nextbase. The rear camera is not working at all; this is my real problem. So yes, I am happy with the front camera. It is not working as I imagined after viewing the marketing videos, but it can actually capture something. I was able to view a young man who was painting ugly pictures on my window moisture last night by inserting the SD card into the PC ( as far as this is possible from a moistened window, just to test the camera). Although it is possible to do it from the smartphone wherever you are using the internet, it takes more time because it needs more time to open a video. I would appreciate several improvements, including receiving a notification, for example, if someone is sitting on my car for some time. Additionally, I would prefer not to receive a notification of an event when I am getting inside the car. I believe this could be possible using the Bluetooth connection. One issue that could happen is if you spend a lot of time parked inside the car, it constantly records movements. There was even one time when the camera crashed, and I simply pressed the reset button with a paperclip. Of course, it is possible to disable the parking mode, but then you have to enable it again. It does not have a feature to disable until the engine starts again. In conclusion, especially for the front camera, it works very well as an LTE camera by design, even including the built-in SIM card. It has motion detection that does not drain the battery and you can connect for live view anytime, but it is not, at least yet, as truly smart, as shown on the company website. It is smarter in the sense of a connected LTE camera with radar motion detection, a g-sensor, cloud control mainly from the smartphone, and even includes some voice commands and a button to lock a video. I also have to mention that the witness mode could be useful, and it works quite well. When I use live view from the smartphone, there is a delay. So, even if the rear camera were working, it could not be used for parking assist. I bought the 1K model because it is cheaper, does not drain the battery, and requires less space on the SD card. Of course, you need the subscription for remote monitoring, and the good thing is that this includes the unlimited data of the camera SIM, the notificatiions and the cloud records from when g-sensor is triggered and the witness mode and the Emergency SOS.

Just FYI, the $10.00 per month is not good enough for the SOS function. They want the whole $20/month or $200/annually for that feature. I know a company needs to make money, but damn... Your customers spend between $500 - $700 USD on your product, and you will allow them to bleed out on the side of the road because they can't cough up enough $$ for the top-tier subscription fees... Can Y'all not re-arrange your plans to provide vital emergency response to all who purchase a 4g connection, or find some middle ground between the protect and protect plus? Maybe push over the real-time image or the smart sense parking to the plus and put another dollar on the protect plan? Just something along those lines. Put life/safety before convenience/property on these packages, please!

I have one. Back cam sometimes isn't work! Assistance from Nextbase is very poor! It is easy for fitt, but it is difficult to have a good setting. Regional services aren't disponible. I have problems with back cam, signal is lost, and can not have images from it. Voice communication isn't work. Actually, two services: Guardian Mode and Roadwatch A.I. not working yet! My conclusion is very expensive for what this cam offered!

It's rubbish , needs Nextbase iQ Subscription Plans for most of the "extra" features. So just wait for the competition to propose the same WITHOUT subscription plans.
