Last week we entered Argentina again and we finally made it to the legendary region of Patagonia. We reunited with our kiwi traveller friend Tom and together we head for a week of adventures in the Lake district of Argentina. This is such a nice feeling to be back with a friend, especially in a region like the Lake District with so many adventure opportunities.

The three of you slip-sliding down the snowy bank towards the lake really had me laughing 😂. Nick and Tom crossing the river, looked rather hairy. Pity about the fishing, although the one trout you did catch, looked delicious. It just goes to show that fishing as a pastime can be relaxing and fun but if you had been actually dependent on catching a fish to eat, it would have been no fun at all..

If it's any consolation, I went fishing the past two days near Lake Tahoe and caught a total of one fish too. That was one hairy river crossing.....held my breath. So nice that you reconnected with Tom. Argentina has some beautiful scenery.

on for your filter k&n filters offroad is a must,WATERPROOFING FILTERS, NEVER USE PAPER FILTERS OFFROAD? ALWAYS CARE A QUEEN SIZE PANTEYHOSE FOR REPAIRS ON THE AIR CLEANER . THAT FILTER NEEDS TO BE DRIED, AND THEN YOU PLACE THE PANTYHOSE OVER THE FILTER TO MAKE A QUICK FIX? in your air box oppisite of the intake should be weep hole to drain out the water inccase you get water in the box. also when installing the lid , use a little vasoline or any grease on the rubber seal to waterproof the seal, so the water is stopped before entering the air box?

Welcome to Patagonia Argentina, fishing with lures & Fly fishing is quite technical and difficult in this area, surely when you go through Chubut and Santa Cruz, you will have more luck, especially in rivers and streams. Please read the instructions and regulations for fishing, especially to take care not to contaminate or spread an algae that is invading Patagonian waters. Always wash and decontaminate equipment. thank you & enjoy ¡¡¡

So the leek we are not so sure but Nick worked at the garage to fix it up ! Should come up in 2 videos ! And the winch Nick managed to fix it up alone so this is back in full functioning mode

Sorry about your luck, that's why they call it Fishing and not Catching. Just keep checking with the locals to see what type of lures or baits they are using, the fish should be quite active in the spring time, or get on some fishing Forums to see what people are using. Fun video, but I think Tom should cinch is waste belt on his waders higher. That was a pretty rough creek. It’s pretty scary to take a fall and have your waders start to fill up. Bariloche is not typical S America. It’s very upscale, a Patagonian Aspen or Zermatt.

That was an event filled episode. I am not a fan of fishing. Too much time for so little and the equipment can be expensive. Only one regret. I hoped you would have shown more of San Carlos de Bariloche. The positive aspects of your videos way over weight the negatives, so don't worry about it. By the way. The sun is setting now at 4:28 in New York and it is getting colder each day. I may have had to stop riding my bike until spring as I don't like to ride when the air temp is below 8 degrees C because with the wind chill it can be around 0 C. Hopefully there will be a warm day here and there and I will. At least at age 74 1/2 I am still riding! I am hoping to ride until I die. Eat right (no sugar), exercise, breathe only clean air, and do not drink too much alcohol. By the way. My wife and I just got our latest Covid shots.

@@jeffhampton2767 I am 74. I had some angina in the last year and went to a cardiologist. He put me on a statin and a blood pressure med. My coronary arteries are 50% blocked by calcium, though that does not affect me at all normally. However, if I caught Covid, it could thicken my blood to the point that it would not flow through those arteries, and I would have a heart attack and die.. Not worth the risk. I have not had a cold or anything in over 5 years. The people in the stores and the supermarket are nobody to me. I do not care what they think. The big picture is living or dying . I have had all the shots. While at this point, Covid may not be a risk for most people, it can be to someone my age and in my condition. So, when you see someone wearing a mask, don't think, "there is another idiot". Thihk they may have a medical condition where they could die if they got Covid, or for that matter the Flu. The Flu , pneumonia, and RSV also kill a lot of susceptible people each year too. FYI, when I'm outdoors I do not wear a mask. Only when I am inside and could possibly be caughted or sneezed on. Do not assume you know everything. Listen to the expeerts. They say everyone should get the shot, along with a flu shot. From now on the Covid shot will be a yearly thing. Ignore at your own risk. By the way, Google, Covid cases in whatever county you live in. It is still around, even if you don't see it. And the reported cases are only the tip of the iceberg. In 2020 people were scared of it. Well today, even with less cases, if you get it, it can make you as dead as back in 2020. It's like All Quiet on the Western Front. Would you like to be the last person who dies of Covid?
