I just bought one of these a few weeks ago! (Adjustable wrench multi tool) I really like it too. If nextool comes out with a multi tool with locking pliers (vice grip) it would be a runaway success. I have purchased both sizes of their flagship model and think they might be my favorite multi tools of all time. Keep innovating Nextool!

Just bought the Adjustable Wrench multi-tool , in-part because of your video and it's already come in handy day 1 at work! In a spot away from the tools, I needed to tighten a hose clamp with the flat-head bit. In doing so, I noticed something on the tool and immediately thought of your video. I went to put the flat-head bit back inside the handle and noticed that there are little holes in the side that are meant to align with the little ball-press joints in the bits, so they lock into place while in storage as well. You just need to make sure the little ball is facing up when you put the bits away. Thank you for this in-depth video about NexTool's new stuff. It was just what i needed to see to make the purchase. If NexTool would make the knife with a liner- lock on the adjustable wrench Tool it would be perfect, and the addition of scissors would make it my holy grail 😩🤞

I have the black knight been carrying for a week and love the Philips uses the adapter so you can choose to bring extra bits or just tool, will be purchasing the wrench soon with the good reviews I’ve seen, would love to see a higher end version of the tools down the road, same design just better materials (obviously at a higher cost)

Tools are both great! Thanks for the review. Subd :) I got the Flagship Pro and I am impressed by the quality so far considering the cost. I think I would end up buying more even if I don't need them because they are so cool I want to collect more hahaha...anyways, I hope Nextool could come out with a new multitool either with a replaceable or entirely without a knife. That way it would be a worry-free EDC for me. The blade replace they did is kinda ok, but it would not hurt to have other options. More power on your channel!

I like the crescent multitool design concept. This design is interesting as I own a 8 inch crescent multitool with pass through sockets capability on the end. I think I will buy it to try out. Although, I dont see myself using this to replace my standard pocket knife or multitool. (I won't know until I test mine however). This crescent multitool concept, in my opinion, could also be suited as something with tools complimentary to a multitool, work pouch, or stash bag. By adding specific tools that dont really work well as a small multitool or what isnt available on the nextool itself, which would allow me as a consumer to want both over just buying one of two. Things off the top of my head that could be integrated, maybe full-size wire strippers or a longer/stiffer prybar versus the little flat heads on multitools I always bend and break over perhaps the wood saw since the other model has one.

Definitely. I use it for metal bolts at work. I think the wrench can open up to around an inch.

I have some Leatherman multi-tools, but other brands, as well. For the price, you can get several Nextools for the one similar Leatherman, so that's a consideration. If you lose or break it, it's not the end of the world.

How would you rank NexTool to Leatherman, Victorinox, SOG and Gerber? I like the fact, that they're doing something different and incorporating shears into their multitools. I prefer innovation not copying. Its okay to take inspiration from something and turn an idea into your own. I like that NexTool is going down that path. I don't own a NexTool but I like that they're listen to customers, as you said and hopefully leaving feedback in the comment section for you and you're viewers. Communication and transparency is very important.

I would say in some of their tools Nextool is pretty close with for instance the Gerber NXT or SOGs power access. Definitely one of the big advantages is they are actually listening to their customers.

If you open the adjustable wrench to more than 20 mm you won't be able to grab a six-sided bolt head, I would guesss.

A few weeks ago you had a Gerber Multi Tool with scissors. I did some research it was not what I said and it’s not a multi tool but a knife. Gerber Folding Pocket Knife + Scissors Urban Companion. I hope this clears up any confusion. It is part of the MP700 MP800 MP Method family along with all champagne aluminum handle knives. Have a good day sorry it took me so long to find it. The Nextool I have two of Armbar clones and I like them a lot. With a Gerber Tool Kit or SOG TOOL KIT it has a lot uses. Some multi tools are 100% perfect but with a little work and thinking out of the box you can make them better.

Interesting that the tool you're looking at has the Philips head on the driver attachment. Other reviews of the Black Knight indicate that there is a simple flat square on the head. I guess we;ll see what the US Amazon distribution of the device will have.

Well, I got the device, and it was the updated version shown here. I was surprised how easily the knife cut through a plastic bag for pine horse bedding pellets (makes great cat litter). Everything seems in perfect order. I'm impressed and happy.

Interesting update. The version of the tool I have, it seems the knife is not locking, however I do have the philips head on the bit extender rod. It might be a faulty unit in that way, but i'm still very happy with it.

Update 2: After a little use of the knife, the locking started clicking in. Something to do with the black coating? All good.

Nice review! Does somebody use saw blade in multitool? I don't see any use for it. Bottle opener is also waste of space. There are so many ways to open a bottle, if you have a multitool in your hand.

Very true about the bottle opener!! Some people really like the saw for bushcraft etc. I personally usually never use it.

I think part of it might do with the saw being used with a back and forth motion. whereas the knife will be pushed against the handle. Just my guess though. Also I know know some countries have banned locking knives, so that could be a reason as well.

At this moment, our engineer already upgrade the knife of Black Knight, and we sent the inventory to Amazon, you can get the one with liner lock.(Note: several inventory of Black Knight is the first batch, and they still without liner lock on knife, if the one you get without it, please contact the customer service for replacement, thank you for your understanding.)

That Dark Knight looks really good. Those scissors are impressive to say the least. I just might pick that up based on those alone. That blade looks long. Length of it? Seems a super value for the money! I think that The Leatherman Tool Group can learn a lot from other companies innovations. Take the Surge instance, it is a great tool but can use updating. It seems to be the Toyota 4Runner of the multi tool world in that major changes isn’t a thing that they do with it. Their tools seem to evolve, avoiding drastic changes. I can appreciate it in a sense but would surely love to see The Surge with grippy scales, interchangeable tools etc. Especially selling at the $140 price point. Have you felt, or ever noticed the emotional connection that these tools elicit? I think it has something to do with why they are collected as widely as they are. 🥹 I appreciate the video. Thanks!

So Leatherman definitely has developed a reputation as "the" multi tool. It has gotten to the point, that for some, to even talk about another brand is sacrilegious. I feel like that fan base has surrounded Leatherman with the notion they cannot fail. This has given other multi tool companies the perfect opportunity to innovate and the chance to upset the market. Niche stores are failing and closing all over the country, so there is this balance point definitely where some top tier multi tool companies will raise prices so high they out price their perceived value.

UK knife law requires the blade be (exactly) 3 inches / 7.62cm or less and non-locking so please consider us in European markets that cannot use a locking knife for EDC and have either a global model or be specific whether blade will lock and its exact length
