What you are doing is just a "Temporary" fix. The RLOD will soon come back sooner rather than later.

It’s been working fine, I don’t mind if it’s temporary fix. I’m just sharing this it could help someone with reusing their system. Thank you for your feedback. I’m always looking to keep learning and spreading knowledge to others in need.

I got mine working twice with the heat trick. Today it played a CD for 3 minutes and got the blinking red dots of death again. So yes for me it was temporary.

Why did you bent the metal shielding from the motherboard ? You can just flip it up and take it of. Me watching it, realy hurts.

Bent it a little to easily remove the board.

For me it worked out, but something else you can look into is getting the chips reballed. There must be videos on how to get it done with the proper equipment.

Ask someone or do a syscom to make sure you are 100% doing the right repair operation. There is not an unique solution for all the ps3 failures.

Red light blinking could be NEC tokin failure, which is some of the issues. The 90nm RSX is most likely the culprit, as this was discovered and was the main failure of the original units. In fact CPU is working properly.
