Nexus 5 + Cyanogenmod 14.1 = 3 Years Later Review!

Have been using it for the last 2.5 years and with no problems. Still run apps very smoothly and i'm not looking forward to replace it anytime soon. Never replaced the battery and still get (with stock Android 6) 12-15 hours of moderate use. Long live to the nexus 5, the best nexus of all! \o/

Did the same thing to my Nexus 5 phone, when power button wore out fast. Still using it with RR 7.1.1 now .. Running fine. Cheers.

My first touch screen phone was an HTC HD2 (0.5 Gb of RAM), in the second month I flash it with Android Froyo thanks to CyanogenMod. From 2009 to 2013 with that phone and a KIT-KAT rom if I don't mistake, until I change it for a NEXUS 5 and here I am, writing this message from my lovely NEXUS 5.

Still living with the Nexus 5, 32 GB, original with stock Android and replaced the battery last month. All I can say is, till the day the phone is alive, I don't intend to ever replace it. Ever.

There's just something about the Nexus 5, it's such a great combination of so many things, there's no point upgrading when you're still loving it!

darkhood1000 I'm using nougat custom ROM from almost 3 months and it gave a new life to Nexus 5. once you use nougat really you can't go back. it's just awesome.

I loved my Nexus 5. It got stuck starting up this fall, so I went with the Nexus 5X. I don't love the 5X, but I got it new for $250ish, so I'm okay with it. I still look at it lovingly where it lays in my desk drawer. Le sigh.

I'm using Nougat (custom ROM) from 3 months on Nexus 5 and the phone is very responsive.

nice video. im still using mine without many issues. The main issue is the battery. Im trying to find a 7.1 rom that give me more juice(using stock since always) but i dont know if new software can perform a miracle on that area.(sorry for the crappy english)

Bruno Rosa Your English is good! But yeah, I never got good battery life from this phone, and bring 3 years old certainly doesn't help!

I hated that problem. I broke my screen doing this and had to fix both the power button and screen. It was worth it tho. Still a great phone other than the battery lol. Great review. Get that audio fixed tho, the fizzing. 👍
