Nexus 5 - Tutorial for Beginners

I have a problem with reverb. I'd like to disable it completely so that it won't load when I change presets, but I don't really understand the manual: Front Panel Reverb settings are stored with the preset. To prevent reverb settings from being loaded with the preset, click on the context menu option to the right of the reverb label and select "locked". You can completely disable the reverb by selecting "global off". I can't see a "Context menu" to the right of the reverb label. And it doesn't show in this video either. I really must be missing something. :)

Each effect module can be turned off individually. I don't know about a global setting though.

When I add a percussive layer, like a Snare, do you know how to stop it from pitch shifting every time I hit a different note on the keyboard?

You can open several instances of Nexus 5 in your DAW, each assigned to a different output channel. That is my workaround.

For some reason, my amp modifier and filter modifier dont actually modify my preset sounds. Do you know how to fix this?

Nexus has always been like this. You can't change all presets with the amp and filter modify controls. I showed this in my livestream a couple of weeks ago. Still, I do like Nexus and use it a lot, it's just it has few annoying quirks like this which makes me turn more towards other (less sample based) synths for custom sounds.

As an old Nexus 2 crack user when I finally buy the latest Nexus 5 no need to be creating sounds need to go through my old projects and pull up my sounds and moving forward I’m good just using factory presets!!!

Das kannst du im System-Menü einstellen. Die Presets laden so schnell, dass man die Preview-Funktion hier auch ausschalten kann. Die Funktion nennt sich Single click preset load.

Sure, but you can also save presets made in Nexus 5 within Nexus.
