I'm definitely getting a set for the Arktos as far as my Ascent18 the stock shocks have been phenomenal. I did the aluminum bodies to my Ascent18 shocks and while installing them I slimmed the seals and have had zero leaking.

@@Steve_J81 yeah I’ve loved the stock shocks on my ascent18. The ones I replaced are the original ones from my test unit I’ve had for well over a year now. Never leaked once!

i haven't tried them yet. They are a bit pricey over the Injora ones. I'd love to see a direct comparison of them. Especially considering the length of travel of each compared to stock. 🧐

I run their 36 mainly though and then I had to use some pretty thick fluid to get them to slow down a little bit

On the 24th I have ran them versus the Pro-Line big bears the pro lines always leak the next racing has not leaked yet at all

I'm confused, why the longer shocks if the band just pulls them back to normal length shocks?

@@hikingphotog they still have more travel so when they do flex you get more travel out of them. The bands just keep them down most of the time. The tire will fall deeper into a hole with more travel on the shock. I honestly run shorter shocks most of the time but just had these longer ones that I wanted to try out.

@@GSG-lc5zm yeah they are actually functional. The only thing I don’t like about them is they are a big large but they give a lot of tuning.

Instead of adding rubberbands acting against the springs, why not running without both (no springs, no rubberbands) ? I do so on my home made micro shafty. Lower is better.😉

@@vdel9036 yeah I do that on some builds. The mofo I showed has no springs on the rear and stock scx (basically nothing) on the front lol. Just want a little more dampening on this truck instead of riding around slammed.
