i hope and pray Nate finds peace through his faith and comes out with a project about overcoming. it is great that he touches so many by being relatable, but ultimately our Father in heaven wants us to be FREE. how cool if Nate opened the door for all the relatables to find freedom? God bless you. Watching that touched me. 👏

Of all NF’s songs, this is the one that I’ve heard two of my teenage daughters listening to the most, and one of them told me it’s a favourite of several of her friends as well. This is a crazy honest and relatable song that touches a nerve in many peoples hearts, I feel. Thank God for someone like Nate to have written and recordEd this song, if for no other reason than to make people realise that they are not alone.

Jai I wish I could give you one of those cathartic hugs where the hearts collide and the tears can’t stop because everything that has been compressed and hidden spills out. Seeing your reactions to these songs is the same way I relate and there’s just something so comforting in hearing your own experience being put into words because you truly feel so isolated in your own prisons that realizing other people feel it too is so relieving. Anyway I’m rambling. Much love. ❤️❤️

Powerful words. It took a LONG time for me to stop crying on this song. When you cant get out of that self hatred cycle, it becomes more of a lifestyle, than just a hard time. So yeah, cry your heart out. Dont keep it in :) Doesnt help when this song goes from a super catchy beat that makes you bop up and down, then drops you into a slow sad pace, then fast up again, like a roller coaster. I prayed for you. God is always there, even when you cannot feel him. All of us are here

He touches so many different levels of our souls and heart especially people who have experienced the trauma like he has. Oh yall haven't gotten to Paid my Dues yet have yall? Now he raps hella fast in that one. Background about the song: It was actually written about an article that came out in Rolling Stones magazine basically saying he music wasn't good and it was too depressing. All because he beat out Chance the Rapper at #1 album on Billboards with "The Search." The article lend towards that he didn't deserve it and that CTR was better than him. So that is what Paid My Dues is about...

You guys remind me so much of my wife and I. She too suffers from mental illness. Depression, anxiety, never thinking that she's good enough, and always apologizing. I never used to get it before and we would always argue because of my ignorance. But once I started listening to NF, I understood. Sometimes I wish I could help her. But all I can really do is just hold her and hope I don't annoy her. I'm more patient now and I'm willing to wait out her lows. Patience, understanding, communication, and trust are keys to a lasting relationship. We're going on 15yrs and it still feels like our 1st!✌️

Raised my kids while working night shifts & still work nights. Couldn't PAY me enough to work days! Can't sleep except during the day, but that's my natural circadian rhythm. Helpful hint: room darkening curtains & a fan. Having a fan is ESSENTIAL. A lot of night workers use low dose Melatonin in the beginning, also.
