Pray always in faith; He is with you. Trust him and surrender, because he gave his life for you and then rose again for your renewal and his glory by the Spirit. His blod covers you and you are forgiven if you go to him. He is the way, the life and the truth, no one comes to the Father except by him. In the name of Jesus Christ.

I see that all the NF fans are not posting on this song...lol. This is who Nate is. If it were not for Nate's beliefs, he would not be touching the hearts he does now. Little does his fans know that God is speaking through Nate and it is the Lord they are actually attracted to, but no one will admit that because it's not cool nor politically correct. There will be a time when God will yell loud enough that they will hear Him, just like He did with the younger poster said on here how this song made them realize how they were treating God. You are chosen child of God.

@YON 1 Those are just ignorant people. Coming from someone who still questions I would never make fun of someone who chooses faith over fact. If thats what gives you peace of mind I am all for it. But coming from someone who does question everything about where we come from there are a lot of uncertainties which some people cant just accept with faith. They need hard proof and since there will most likely never be 100% proof we search for other possibilities to fill the void.

One thing I have often noticed is that if we as humans talk to God in prayer and don't get the answer we hoped for we automatically say "well he wasn't listening" when that is definitely not the case at all. Much like when we were kids, sometimes the answer we receive isn't the one we really wanted/hoped for, but it was the one we needed at the time even if we didn't know why!

When I die, put my ashes in the trash bag I don't care where they go Don't waste your money on my gravestone I'm more concerned about my soul Everybody's gon' die Don't everybody live though Sometimes I look up to the sky And wonder do You see us down here? Oh Lord, oh Lord Listen, yeah everybody wants change Don't nobody wanna change though Don't nobody wanna pray Till they got something to pray for Now everybody's gon' die But don't everybody live though Sometimes I look up to the sky And wonder do you see us down here? Oh Lord, oh Lord, do You see us down here? Oh Lord, oh Lord, do You see us down here? Oh Lord, oh Lord, do You see us down here? Watching the news in our living rooms on the big screens And talking 'bout "If God's really real, then where is He?" You see the same God that you saying might not even exist Becomes real to us, but only when we dying in bed When ya healthy it's like, we don't really care for Him then Leave me alone God, I'll call you when I need you again Which is funny, everyone will sleep in the pews Then blame God for our problems like He sleeping on you We turn our backs on Him, what do you expect Him to do? It's hard to answer prayers when nobody's praying to you I look around at this world we walk on It's a smack in the face, don't ever tell me there's no God And if there isn't then what are we here for? And what are y'all doing down there? I don't know Lord Oh Lord, oh Lord, do You see us down here? Oh Lord, oh Lord, do You see us down here? Oh Lord, oh Lord, do You see us down here? You see the same God that you saying might not even exist Becomes real to us, but only when we dying in bed When ya healthy it's like, we don't really care for Him then Leave me alone God, I'll call you when I need you again Which is funny, everyone will sleep in the pews Then blame God for our problems like He sleeping on you We turn our backs on Him, what do you expect Him to do? It's hard to answer prayers when nobody's praying to you I look around at this world we walk on It's a smack in the face, don't ever tell me there's no God And if there isn't then what are we here for? Romans 6:23 - For the Wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord
@saylorgrey10294 жыл бұрын
*What* *do* *you* *expect* *Him* *to* *do* *It's* *hard* *to* *answer* *prayers* *when* *nobody's* *praying* *to* *you* That's my favourite line in the song because it hits the hardest. I've realised that I constantly take God for granted. I only pray when I need something from Him, but I've never just spoken to Him like a friend. I always tell myself and others that I'm a believer in Christ, yet I don't even know Him. I was Lukewarm, and I couldn't even tell because the worldly things in front of me made me too blind to see it. I would sometimes try to speak to God like a friend, but only because I felt guilty for abandoning Him for too long or because I was "in the moment" after watching or listening to a fiery sermon, which I barely even did. I always thought that I was a true Christian, and that there was no need to develop a deeper relationship with Him because I was born into a Christian family and baptised at twelve. I'd go to Church every Sunday, but only because my mom made me too. I saw it as a chore, rather than somewhere I was personally willing to go to. I was always so confident in confronting others for their unwillingness to take God seriously, yet I was only acting as a hypocrite the whole time. I'd always criticize false preachers for teaching the prosperity gospel, yet I was also in the wrong because I never even bothered to spread His true, real word to unbelievers myself. I only have atheist, liberal friends who constantly cuss and take God's name in vain. I'll admit, I'd sometimes join in with them, too. At school, I'd always watch people confidently blaspheme and speak negatively about God. I say I'm a a Christian? But I never loved Him enough to confidently defend Him myself. When He did answer my prayers, I'd always bribe Him, promising that I'd give Him more time, I ended up giving Him a day or two, but after that I'd turn back to my sin all over again. I read the Bible about once every 3 months, rather than at least once a day. My relationship with Him has been fake, lukewarm and toxic. However, I never get angry when He doesn't answer my prayers, just disappointed. But I've realised that if I have every right to take Him for granted, He has every right to ignore my prayers. I'm 18 now, and want to repent and truly live by the Holy Spirit. I've done this many times but it's about time I do it for real. I'm so sorry Lord, I'm a wretched sinner who's unworthy of your everlasting grace, love and mercy. Please, help me love you more like a friend. Amen🙏🏽💙

This song is just so relatable. I was guilty of everything in this song. When I prayed to God only when I needed him, when I was in trouble. Whenever I prayed to God just because it was “part of my daily routine” and didn’t even realize that my prayer was pretty useless because it wasn’t from my heart. When I used to question why God didn’t answer my prayers when I didn’t even believe in them happening in the first place. Everything, I was guilty of. But as I grew and grew more into my relationship with Christ, I realized my mistakes and repented. In my situation, God was not the problem (he never is), but it was my lack of faith that held me back from having my prayers answered. To whoever reading this: Please take prayer seriously, it’s the most important thing to communicate with God. “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” - Mark 11:24 (NIV) ““When you ask, you do not receive, because you ask with wrong motives, that you may spend what you get on your pleasures.” - James 4:3 (NIV) “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

Southern Patriot question.... Um, what about the people around you, have you tried talking to them.... I would imagine there is a reason the people are there, as stated in the good book, love your neighbor as you love yourself..... Unless of course the people around you are not loving people.... Making them unable to understand the reality we are all created equal therefore understanding the fact we are imperfect and have feelings which we emulate..... So if someone is yelling at someone else the one getting yelled at will feel bad.... An when someone is being loving by another, the person being loved will feel good.... So shouldn't we emulate the loving, kind, decent and forgiving Jesus as described in the bible?? Just thinking out loud....
@LegioDecemGJCAESAR6 жыл бұрын
Diamondyguy Jacobson unfortunately that is a painful truth.... The pain and solitude of life brings unique understanding, at times I hoped would cause people to care about other's more, yet instead people use that as a excuse to be even more cruel. It's on our generation and our acts to cause that change that we wish to see. All we have is each other at this point and people dont understand how important there actions are. Pray to all that is just that people start to grasp the lesson..... May god forgive them, for they know not what they do....

i never thought music would mean so much and relate to me so much as being in high school. being a junior in high school and breaking down in class because you remember how much your dad loved you, but hes not there anymore because he died four years ago. i miss him everyday but i know I will get to see him again. NF is leading people closer to Christ every time he gets up on stage.

Oh Nathan, how much truth is in this song you have written! "Everyone will sleep in the pews then blame God for our problems like He's sleeping on you. We turn our backs on Him, what do you expect Him to do. It's hard to answer prayers when nobody's praying to you". We need to wake up, church. WAKE UP! You want God to move, PRAY! There is not a point in history when we have needed Him more than we need Him now. My heart is burdened for the church, for those who call themselves believers.

Dad: is this political Me: No Dad: what is this? Me: Music that is not political Dad: This is political Me: See that's the thing you and all other people are so caught up in politics that everybody is distracted, and not realizing whats going on in the world. We are all not realizing the bad things in this world. We are so far away from it, and i wonder when we will all realize what the world is becoming. These songs block out all these things, and help put us back in reality.
