I'm really liking your NF reactions. I'm a huge NF fan and I have to say it : please do the journey as you like, in any order just as you want it. Sadly some fans are stucked in the idea that there is a "right way" to take the journey but the only important thing is to do it as you're feeling it. It's not necessary to see it in order to put the puzzle pieces together and watching it in order is more about either watching NF's evolution or taking a more therapeutic journey as a tool to help get out of a negativ mental state. You have already made some great theories/have puzzled stuff out with a few songs and I can't wait to see you react to the other songs !

You're doing a great job picking up on how he puts things together across albums. Imagine what you're missing out on by not starting at the beginning! There's a reason lots of folks are saying start with Mansion. I agree, and you won't regret it. Bare minimum do Intro 1, Mansion and Paralyzed from that album. After that you've got Therapy Session album and Perception before continuing with The Search.

NF has said in interviews that growing up Eminem was his favorite rapper. He also grew up not to far from where Marshall grew up. What I love about NF is he is a good rapper who can mix up his style and he has dope beats but what really blows my mind is how beautiful the music is. It’s so cinematic and is put together in a way I haven’t seen in hip hop.
@loveislove78213 ай бұрын
Love the reaction. You’re going to be fun and interesting to watch if you continue reacting to NF (in whatever order of the journey you choose to take) I’m sure many ppl have/will explain further but I think you had NF pegged right away. Nate IS the epitome of “face value” when it comes to his lyrics. Imo he’s more of a poet than anything. He has quite a few songs that really show off his “rappety rap” abilities (thus proving his capability)but I think he chooses to focus more on the over all message/delivery of a song rather than the technical rhyme scheme part which I respect. He doesn’t need all the double/triple entendres bc what he says and how he says it is enough and to me, is what makes his music even more impactful. He’s so raw and real and always tries to stay true to himself and his craft. I love how simple yet complex his music is and I personally think he’s one of the most relatable artists you can get. He may not be everyone’s cup of tea but his talent is undeniable. The ‘Eminem influence’ is obvious but NF has created his own lane in spite of having to follow in Em’s gigantic shadow. Nate’s versatility/vulnerability is what truly sets him apart. He can literally do it all, which I’m sure you’ll see for yourself. I know I sound like such a crazy fanatic but I’m just a huge fan of ANY artist/person who brings *HOPE* into this world and that’s exactly what this man does. My fellow NFers understand me lol anyways I can’t wait to see you react to more #NFREALMUSIC🎵🖤

Yo, I'm loving your insight on these NF reactions you're doing. You picked up on the whole mind as a house bit. If you haven't listened to it already you should go further back in time and check out "Mansion". One of NF's earlier records which dives into that analogy. It's also another painting with lyrics song of his. And word has it EM dissed him on "The Ringer". "...especially an effing (NFing) recovery clone of me..." so that might be how EM reacted to NF. 🤷♂

Just a non-patreon suggestion, you can do "Story" anytime you're looking to fill in or just change pace on NF, it's not part of the the journey and it's... unusual, for a song (think similar to Joyner "Ross Capicchioni" in a way)... more like a short movie!!! Em's song The Ringer. He says, NFing Clone. In NF's song Returns. The whole 2nd part of the song is directed at Em. People will debate that, but it is. Last comment I swear lmao : Nate has been extremely open and public about his admiration for Eminem. In many of nfs OLD tracks he pay homage to him multiple times and in interviews. Eminem’s influence is abundantly obvious but Nate’s never asked for hand outs or tried (consciously) to imitate/copy him but you can tell in his older stuff just how much influence he had in his music/life but it’s been cool to see how progress and mold into a completely different artist/person. I love Eminem but he made a poor/childish decision to take jabs at NF in his song “the ringer” he says “an N-Effing recovery clone of me” obviously the joke is that Nate doesn’t cuss in his music and has been very public ab idolizing Eminem growing up. I just thought it was classless considering Nate’s been nothing but respectful (he’s no MGK lol) and instead of reaching out to collab or just saying nothing.. em felt the need to take shots. Many (including me) believe that Nate’s song “Returns” has subliminal messages directed towards em ab the diss but did it so cleverly that it’s noticeable af but you can’t prove it haha em maybe his idol but when someone take a swing at you esp in the rap game you gotta swing back even if you strike out it’s a risk you gotta take. Most of the song *returns* is ab his haters in general but I have no doubt he was addressing Eminem’s diss and it’s really clever/a fire song if you’re interested. In present time There’s no beef btw them tho and imo it’s a compliment when ppl compare him to Eminem. The only time I hate it is when ppl call him Eminem before even hearing a verse just bc he’s a white rapper lol. That’s just ignorant af. HOPE **YOU ENJOYED THE TEA** 🤣

He tells you about the black smile (fake smile) in his therapy session single All the symbolism like his cage from outcast in this which represents his mind. He shipped there Symbolism explained: That is his mom who died on the swing per his how could you leave us single The balloons represent his burdens. He is walking away from the outcast cage from outcast single which represents his own mind. Shopping cart is a more portable version as he climbs into it at the very end of the video. He teased his upcoming album hope with the people in white. And mentioning the map to hope which he has in new hope intro He pays homage to kanye west in this hand on my head cant tell me nothing from kanyes cant tell me nothing single
