They didn’t do justice on Dan Johnson… he has had clutch hits that 2011 season and saved a lot of games for the Rays

I love how Dan Shaughnessy was so full of himself and it completely changed in 2 hours

Looking back on it it was a great day of baseball. However, as a Rays fan I was a nervous wreck until Longoria's Home Run and never truly appreciated this day until years later

What I most hate about most of the retellings of this day, is that it just COMPLETELY glosses over what made it so once in and lifetime and incredible. The fact that all 10 teams with post season aspirations either played for something that day, or played other teams playing for something that day. The Phillies and Yankees being the locked in one seeds but playing one of the potential WCs, and the two and three seeds actually playing for the 2 and 3 seeds still up in the air. The fact there were no byes back then, and yet somehow going into the final day of the season not one playoff match was known has never and with the new format will never be duplicated. The other thing I hate is that the Cardinals winning is treated as a free game, when another team on that same night, by that same score, allowing even less hits at the time, will end up losing.

As an O's fan it was the purest of delight to knock the Sox out of the post season that year.

What makes this more incredible is that this would be the final year where it was only 1 wildcard team for each league,

I don't think we will ever have a night like this again. Especially with the expanded playoff format. To think I believe this was the last year before the Wildcard Game took place.

I knew about the Rays comeback win, but didn't know all of this happened on that day until I watched this. 2:35 His prediction was Correct by a HAIR, but it worked.

The fact that the Cards went on to win it all after barely making it into the wild card... gives me chills as a Brewers fan

In hindsight, the Phillies would’ve been better off with the Braves winning that game. Instead the Phillies had to face the red hot and charmed Cardinals in the division series, and we know what happened there.

Phillies fans going into this game knew we didn’t want to face the Cardinals & I think the players felt the same way. Going into that last game, the Phillies looked awful and lost a ton of games & I feel that they didn’t want to go into the playoffs with another L…. But they totally depleted their bullpen! Ugh! That was a really fun night to watch though

@@aaronreinsmith6136 Try to come up with something different. I can't believe you would write that comment when people write that comment like everyday. I mean for god sakes bro I've never heard that before. Lol. It's a two-month-old comment. Don't you want your baseball team to do well? Lol. Grow up dude and stop using catch phrases that are a million years old that everybody's heard a thousand times. Just STFU and grow up. My God. I can't believe they're still people out here who say "that didn't age well" I mean try to come up with something else dude. Stop being a follower.

What about the Dodgers coming from the dead to win the N.L. West Division in 2013? It took them until the middle of June to make a run for the Division.
