Watched from city ground - so much was off today: Wood - no service, couldn't shoot let alone score. Odoi - closed down by 2 players every time he received the ball. Gibbs-White - all over the place, didn't stay composed. Elanga - not focused at all, messed up all chances. Full credit to Murillo - by far our star player, if it wasn't for him it would have been 5-1. Aina amazing winning his 1-on-1 duels.

Definitely not on our game today and Newcastle looked really effective on the break. Isak is quality. Dan Burn looked 9 foot tall and we struggled with any end product. Also thought we tried one too many passes round our own box. All in all though, we’ve had a blinding start and despite this being my daughter’s first game - we were all philosophical on the drive home! Hopefully a fresh start at Arsenal with absolutely nothing to lose, after the break. COYR.

Was there - have no issue with Forest losing - first half we looked so strong in defence, but 2nd half Newcastle had us chasing shadows - so no issue with result. I think there is now a 'Top 8' (to include Villa & Newcastle) - and so no shame at all in losing .

It was very obvious that we pushed too hard and overstretched ourselves, often sacrificing coherency in our mid-block and our attack. But it's also resoundingly clear that Nuno will proactively address those shortcomings in his ongoing development of the squad. The Art of War move by Nuno would have been to have done the extreme opposite of what the opponent was expecting, Awoniyi for Wood. Howe and his players know all about Wood's game and what he does well and crucially what he can't do (no pace). Awoniyi would have scared Burn with his pace and power. When Burn got his very early yellow card Nuno should have switched things to try for a sending off. Nuno should have gone with the Anfield approach.

Weird game. Forest were like Real Madrid in the first half, walked and danced their way out of every Newcastle attack. But the whole game we had nothing at all going forward, except the goal.
