Watching this video is like an amazing time-machine. We still had our old owner alive and running the club. Billy Davies (King Billy or the Poisoned Dwarf - delete as applicable) was in his second season and we had such a team back then. Earnshaw, Maddy, Cohen, Morgan, Gunter et al........what a line up. Ohhhh for the left back mess up after Shorey went back to his club. Worst decision ever! Not since our first season under Sabri and now with Steve Cooper in charge have we ever come close. I don't know if Cooper is a better man manager than Davies (all his players loved him!!!), but he doesn't have the destructive dark side that would derail Billy again and again. As i write this, Davies hasn't worked in a managerial role for seven and a half years, due to his behaviour at his second tenure when Fawaz Al Hasawi owned the club. Now......those were dark days!!

A great game but sadly the teams' paths diverged markedly not long after. We narrowly escaped dropping to League 1 whilst Leicester got promoted and became PL champions. Not signing Shorey and Whittingham seemed big misses?

Some bench 3 macs mcguoogan mcleary mcgoldrick and the keeper who I thought was one of our best helped us get out of league 1 cheers smegson I refer to Paul Smith he was brilliant that team should've got to the prem oh my gosh rwhat a team I still feel something amiss and we were cheated somewhere somehow it happens to the best but that Forest team was ythe best since Campbell and Van Hooijdonk et al I loved Robbie Ernie he was fabulous and I know he loved Forest very much so near to the promised land AGAIN 😭🍀⚽😩😁
