The Denver Fire Department should win awards for their internal commitment to safety and also for this excellent video!

My Grandfather Claude V. Snyder Retired Denver Fireman, made the marble head stones for this memorial. He did all the art work and sandblasted all the name on them until he died in 2003.

I'm glad The Denver Fire Department makes sure firefighters wear their seat belts and safety harnesses, and uses closed-cab trucks now. That is such a far cry from the days of firefighters standing on the back bumpers of engines, as nostalgic as that might be.

Its a cool feeling realizing your calling. It just happened to me a little over a year ago. I missed the cut on my first written test but studied any way I could and kept up on my physical fitness. It's all I think about and I'm not giving up. Go after it Andrew, wish you luck

Much respect from a UK student paramedic. A death protecting and serving within the emergency services is a good death. Ultimately death isn't good overall, but doing it in the protection of the community and people is the best way to go.

+revron77 With emergency comes risk, with risk comes death, with death comes glory, with glory comes understanding, with understanding comes less risk My granddad was a cop but this applies to firefighters and EMS just as well. You're lucky you don';t have to get shot at or run into burning buildings though, we bring em to you XD

hvymtal You'd be surprised the level of abuse and assaults directed at paramedics. I for example have had a guy on legal highs try to kill a child in front of me, then try to attack me. Luckily police were in the area. Paramedics experience tons of risk. In Australia paramedics die more than police officers, completely crazy. In the emergency family, we are all holding the thin blue, red and green line. Thank god we have each other.

***** Yeah i know i was just joking. And you're absolutely right, we'd really be screwed without each other

Some people think that to think about personal safety is wimpy. When it is about going home. We still have people that refuse to wear BAs. It is crazy.

she touches every thing in the trucks interior .The gloves becomes dirty. I do not want them hands in my open wound. It will increase the risk of infection. She REALLY need to learn how to work Asepsis.
@derekdinges76009 жыл бұрын
SKIT I MITT NAMN DE DU The field is not aseptic. Majority of fire departments have their crews put the gloves on in the ride. This ensures that the crews are wearing the proper PPE.
