I don’t disagree but he is also stubborn and has been WAYYYY OFF on his stance before on things. As everyone is at times, but I could see him making a few mistakes and then taking the team all the way down with him, instead of being humble and admitting anything and changing his stance on something. I use to love just about everything he would analyze on ESPN, and then a topic came up and I couldn’t have felt he was more wrong about it, and so did just about everyone else. He was very very vocal about it and the more evidence that piled up against his point the more he argued and insisted on it. It wasn’t just a football topic either it was a moral issue that was major and very public at the time. After that it seemed like he would go against the majority more often then not even if it was an obvious thing, I started noticing and thinking it seemed like a lot of times he would do it to stand out or to be the one to go against something just to do it. Kinda like that old white guy that screwed up his own show with Shannon Sharpe by being stubborn and making a living arguing and going against everyone else’s opinion.

I tend to go off what QB coaches, especially ones that have worked with the greats, and they are picking Maye. We will see what happens in 4-6 years, but don’t be surprised if we are calling 2 or 3 of the top picks a bust.

We also didn’t use this WR argument when Joe Burrow went #1. Yea WR helps the QB but at the end of the day if the QBs bad the WR will suffer.

If NE grades Maye as a potential franchise QB, you don't even consider trading out of three. Who know when you will be in position to take a potential franchise QB? Maybe next year you only grade on QB as a potential franchise QB, you'd have to give up more to move up to get him than you got from moving off of 3 this year and that is only if teams are looking to trade down. Picking a QB in the draft is always a risk. Passing on a QB you like in hopes that another will be available next year is a bigger risk

Does Ryan Clark even know what he’s talking about? How can he say the Giants picked Daniel Jones because that’s who they “had to pick”? Dave Gettleman described his feelings towards Daniel Jones as being “in full bloom love,” and all the talk leading up to the draft was how in love the Giants were with DJ. You can say it was the wrong pick, but that was absolutely not an example of the Giants picking a quarterback simply because he was a quarterback. They were absolutely in love with him, and if this new (since DJ was drafted) regime is in love with Drake Maye and doesn’t believe in Jones, they should take Maye. But to describe Maye as a potential desperation pick is absolutely asinine when for months we have heard that in most other draft classes, including last year’s Maye could and probably would’ve been the 1st overall pick. These dudes just talk to talk.
