Dont'a and Van Noy remind me of McGinest and Vrabel. They are exactly the same type of people in one sense. Dont'a with McGinest, Van Noy with Vrabel. I would conjecture to say their personalities and demeanors most likely are even similar. Just listen to how they talk. The most amazing thing about the Patriots and I am a baltimroe fan, is that they look for specific type of football players, not necessarily the most skilled. That part they have figured out, that must be directly from Bellicheck. You never saw Branch, or McGinest or Vrabel or Troy Brown showboating. It really amazes me. Even Mayo or Jaime Collins (2nd verson of him). Do you all remember Adellius Thomas, and how he became a non-factor after he came from Baltimore? It really is something that the patriots have always figured a certain type of character in a player benefits them the most.

I was very much rooting for the Seahawks with this particular one. How great for a junior quarterback to win back to backs? Against the only man in recent history to also do that, and in the SAME first 3 years!! But you know what kills me the most? It's not the loss, it's the embarrassment from HOW they lost lol.... The Seahawks had this LOCKED IN. Everyone knew it. Brady knew it, McDaniels knew it. You bet Belichick knew it, as did the entirety of the viewership. It was a PHYSICAL IMPOSSIBILITY that BeastMode could FAIL to move a football 3 or 4 yards, with FOUR tries at it. Anyway, you know the damn story lol.... But I've come to be a pretty big supporter of Brady, so I've learned to cope with him jumping up and down like a kid who just got his first Big Wheel (that really dates me doesn't it? Lol).... Good for the damn Pats and Brady, they weren't the villains I made them out to be for so long anyway lol.... (which I think I knew all alomg anyway, but man, talk about annoying dominance!! At one point playing in EIGHT AFC CHAMPIONSHIPS IN A DAMN ROW....

it technically wouldn't have been over. Brady would have about a minute with 2 timeouts to drive back down the field. In that scenario, 31-28, the Patriots could simply get into field goal range to tie if they can't get the game winning TD. Revisionist history lol can happen to the best of us.
@eyesatch

The most unsung play was Dont'a Hightower tackling BeastMode at the one. He absolutely bench pressed Russell Okung (like coach Flores mentioned) and laid right into him. That led to the stop. And major props to Butler for that pick, but Brandon Browner basically saved the game (defensively).

There are college kids in New England who have no recollection of the Patriots being anything but dominant - they think that the Pats play these kinds of games as a matter of routine, year in and year out. I came of age during the 80s and early 90s, when this franchise was a joke and these kinds of games were a rarity. It never gets old for me - it's awesome. No NFL team has ever had a sixteen-year run that even comes close. The New England Patriots - greatest team of all time. There is no debate.

+noonze1 No the packers are the greatest franchise. You can't argue with 13 NFL Championships, compared to the Patriots who only have 4. If we are talking Super Bowl Era alone, the steelers are the greatest. The patriots won 4 Superbowls in 16 years, yet the Packers won 5 in the timespan of only 7 years. The Patriots went to 6 in the timespan of 16 years, yet the Packers went to 6 in the timespan of 8 years. Packers are the greatest franchise.

KHayes666 it seems the league makes some rules after the Patriots do it. Just goes to show how great Belichick is. I mean in 2003 after the colts and Patriots squared off the colts had a fit with the league about how physical the Patriots corners were with their receivers. What happened? The NFL makes a rule limiting corners physicality against receivers. The Patriots leap over centers to block field goals, the NFL says no more of that. The Patriots use a tough offensive look and basically discombobulated the ravens. The NFL cracks down on formations and make doing what they were doing illegal from then on out.

He's got a photographic memory, and always told Bill what to do in important situations, giving him the highest likelihood of victory. He probably would have told Bill to go for it on 4th down tonight instead of kicking it. No doubt in my mind. Even if Folk made it (50% chance), Brady gets the ball back, down 2, 2 timeouts, with one minute left? That's at least 50% likelihood of success. He wagered Mac Jones converting against Brady not scoring. Terrible bet, especially with how Mac was playing tonight on short passes.

It would have held up the game if it became common practice league-wide, without adding anything to the entertainment value. The NFL requires receivers to wear receiver-specific jersey numbers precisely to avoid all that eligibility reporting. The play doesn't really work without the surprise factor anyway. You're basically playing 10 vs. 11 if the defense ignores the ineligible receiver split wide. The one thing I'm curious about that we'll never see now is whether the plan was to throw a backwards pass to Vereen if they left him completely uncovered.

i wont forget this at all. As a Mass native now living in Chicago where my wife is from, the day felt good. We had a blizzard that day. A foot of snow fell in Joliet (city next to Rob Ninkovichs hometown and high school). I remember the go ahead score and thinking do not get relaxed. A wheel route first down to mid field made my gut wrench. I started thinking about La Fell not getting down in bounds wondering if Super Bowl 42 and 45 were coming back. When Russell threw the ball to kearse i didnt say anything because i thought he caught the ball. Sure as hell, he did, then HIGHTOWER (does NOT get enough credit for his bench press of Okung to get to Lynch) and Malcolm. The moment of the pick, i told my then fiancee now wife SHUT UP they have to get the ball out lol. She forgave me. I was LITERALLY worried about the excessive celebration penalty and the ball spot. Then Michael Bennett decided to jump off sides and Irvin decided to fight Gronk! After being stationed in Hawaii from 2006-2014, and seeing "congratulations Super bowl 42 Champion Giant Banners" hanging around aloha stadium after the pro bowl, which overlooked my barracks at Pearl Harbor, FINALLY we get vindicated!!!

I'm not a Patriots fan at all, but your post made me chuckle. First, your display picture is the Seahawks logo, making it blatantly obvious your statement is the result of sour grapes, as you're perturbed that your team lost. Second, you probably are ignorant to any of the real facts around things like deflategate, where the group of people the NFL hired to investigate it, couldn't find any credence to the claims. Third, if you want to talk about unfair advantages, your team would be the BEST example of that. How about how your team spent a shit of money paying engineers to use technology to artificially enhance the noise in the stadium, so that it is several times louder than could be achieved with real crowd noise? Your "12th man" is not the result of legitimate crowd noise, but artificial means built into the stadium to produce deafening noise. This allows your team to completely drown out the opposing team's offense, so they can't hear each other and calls being made by the QB. Using technology to artificially enhance a stadium's noise level to incomprehensible levels, ones not achievable through normal means, solely to deafen the opposing team on offense is as cheap as it gets pal. Seahawks home record 2002-2012: 59-29 Seahawks road record 2002-2012: 33-55 Case closed.

Yeah I'm with you on that. I pull for Vikings but respect what they have done with salary cap. Appreciate their willingness to plug holes with 3rd or 4th rounders and 5th rounders to just do as well. I wish our Vikings would have done the same with the AP contract that give us any flexibility to add good skill players and the Hershel Walker trades. But we aren't the only ones. The rest of the league aren't doing it either.

It's not surprising these players sound like they're at a rave with the "i love you man" and "i'd do anything for you" ... that natural seratonin rush after the win must be so incredible.

The Patriots are the best at getting players that every other team thinks has. Nothing left to give and leading them to becoming great again

6:09 Belichick adopts a trick play by the Titans - a year later he doesn't fall for a trick play by the Colts - he shows more respect for a 2-14 team that fired its head coach the next season than he does for an 8-8 team he faces almost every season. That says something.

Michael Daly Because Pagano doesnt do a good job in preparation. Not only did he get beat by the EXACT SAME GAMEPLAN twice, then you get the fake punt a year later

Coming from a Jets fan taking 2 PSI out of a football doesn't create Hall of fame Quarterback or win games. Once teams like the Colts and Jets man up grow some balls and knock this team in the mouth maybe they can stop dominating.

Christopher Adams The problem is owners are too impatient so they hire and fire coaches after one year rsther than.let them establish themselves. If Kraft was like that idiot in Miami, Dan Snyder or Woody Johnson, he would have fired Belichick after going 5-11 in 2000. Look at the Steelers and Ravens, for all their faults they're right in the thick of things every year because they have a system in place. The Jets need to stick with a coach and GM that know what they are doing, draft stud lineman to control the line of scrimmage and go from there.

The real reason why I love the Pats. It's not just because they win, I love everything this organization stands for and the way they carry out business. The attitudes of the players forward the game, each other, and their opponents. The fact that the win is just an outcome of those things, and it's amazing.

Damn, I fall in love with American football after watching this vid. Its so technical and full of strategy. In field, everybody are playing, the players (obviously) and the coaching staff, there is no other game that have this. But its impossible for me to watch it from my country anyway. Hope someday I can.
