I don't get it: the Steelers went 10-7 with Trubisky, Pickett, Rudolph, and a bad OC. We get a new OC, upgrade the O-line in the draft, and sign a Super Bowl winning QB and Justin Fields (in the right system) can be an elite QB. What makes them think the Steelers will get worse?

If the Steelers want their best shot at contention, start Russell Wilson. He's better. Fields should be treated like a raw college freshman and redshirted this year. He needs to become better as a passer. Russ is still a highly competent passer in the NFL with the ability to still throw pristine deep balls. Start Russ, Julian. Redshirt Fields

Fields is deadly off the play action, I watched every game of his from the Bears last year. If he's given a bit of time he will tear apart NFL defenses all day. I've never watched a more exciting player, maybe other than Michael Vick. The Bears OC was terrible last year and they messed with his footwork and wouldn't take advantage of his elite deep throwing. Crazy stuff. I hope he can finally arrive with the Steelers after all the Bears put him through surrounding him with JV players and a rookie OC who never called plays in the NFL before..

I think the Steelers will make a Wildcard. My concern is, can they win that WC game and do damage in the playoffs, and right now, I’d have to say, “No”. However, I’d love for the Steelers to prove me wrong and surprise me by making it to the AFC Championship.

I would think they’d try to keep bot and let Fields work his way into the starting lineup and keep Russ as a number 2. Obviously it’s a bit more complex than that but we shall see.

The Steelers will average 200 yards rushing a game with the new O-Line. The QB performance will be the cherry on top. Russell Wilson gives them the best chance for playoff success. It wouldn’t have mattered if they had Jordan Love, Dak Prescott. The offensive line was the Worst in the NFL since 2020 & the OC Matt Canada was horrible.

I’m sorry but JF can’t play! I’ve seen nothing so far in his career that suggests he’s even better than most backups in the NFL. We’ve fallen in love with the “athletic quarterback.” Fields needs to be learning how to play the position instead of focusing on a quarterback competition!
