As surprised a I was with this hire, I'm actually very excited now. People are naive if they don't think Lynch will surround himself with great front office people. He's well respected and has a lot of connections around the league. He has already a solid hire in Adam Peters a well respected scout as his Director of Player Personal. Besides if Kyle wanted him and we wanted Kyle then I'm all for it. I think we will suprise a lot of doubters when it's all said and done.

Richard A. John Lynch is one of the most physical players in NFL history has been in the game for a very long time and is a smart guy Im excited what he does as GM one thing for sure is he knows defense!

Gustavo Alba Just because you played the game well doesn't mean you'll succeed in the front office, these are 2 TOTALLY different worlds. Remember Mike singletary? He was a GREAT hall of fame line backer, but crashed and burned as a head coach....Great on the field, terrible in the office. There is a lesson here that the 49ers refuse to learn. Gustavo Alba John elway ran a Canadian football team for 6 years, prior to becoming the GM in Denver. Lynch has no such experience. It takes more than passion and a good attitude to succeed in the Nfl, Jim Zorn had plenty of both but he ultimately failed in Washington.
