Chris Berman, Tom Jackson, and Bill Pidto host ESPN NFL Primetime's highlights of NFL Week 8. The lead story is the surprising performance of the Washington Redskins, who after years of futility were about to go 6-1 to start the season and sweep the New York Giants. Of course, they would end up not making the playoffs that season.
**Up until recently, I've been downloading my personal VHS collection. However, the collection is obviously limited. I started a Patreon page to better find and purchase old VHS videos on EBAY and other websites, as well as at garage sales and other locations that might have VHS available, so I can upload them for all to see and share for free. See it here: / tombombadil

Mora blasts his coaches (and probably included himself in that statement) but among the coaching staff were Bruce Arians, Jim Mora Jr., and Rick Venturi...guys who you think would know what they were doing. Maybe they just weren't ready for prime time yet.

@@pronkb000 I just hope all three men made it home for this episode of PrimeTime, and they were ready for that (to be fair, the Saints roster was a thin as a Belvita, and just as soft: it took until 2000 for the Saints to have a respectable roster). I think it's funny, but it was also Mora being genuine.

I started paying attention to the NFL in 1997, when the Bucs and Broncos got good uniforms. It is so damn weird to me seeing Testaverde as a Raven, Chandler as an Oiler, Curtis Martin as a Patriot, and Alstott as an RB. So much changed in a year. Also I think Harbaugh was only on the Chargers for a year or so.

Jeffery Robertson There were some good games that year on NBC considering the AFC was a some what of a down year. The Shootout between Elway and Testaverde and the Ravens in Mile High with a cease fire when the wet snow kicked in at the end with a minute to go. The Colts upset the Super Bowl Champion Cowboys in Dallas. The Oilers going toe to toe in the Astrodome after the brawl with the only largest crowd that year. Philadelphia eagles getting revenge of Jimmy Johnson all the year he torchered Eagles fans by beating the Dolphins. John Elway comeback to the beat the Vikings in Week 13. The Steelers and Ravens rivalry is born .Steve Young and the 49ers comeback to win and beat the Bengals. Terrell Davis runs over the Patriots in Week 12.
