Ok. New one on me. At a local VAHS football game. Ref called, “False start offense, offside defense. Penalties offset.” Wait, what??? Is that even possible?

Hello Warren! We have no idea how we didn't see your comment/question until now. Basically, players on both sides of the ball jumped, so the penalties cancelled one another out and they had to replay that down. It's like a "do over" when both sides commit penalties on the same play.
