I think they’ve really nailed the type of weapon that Allen needs. He doesn’t need super flashy guys that are as toxic and narcissistic as they are talented, he just needs guys who are hard working, selfless, and have great hands. The Bills most talented weapon is Amari Cooper, and he’s only on the team to scare defenses into covering him, opening things up. Teams are frustrated because they know if they don’t lock down Cooper, he will make magic happen with anything Allen throws his way, but that if they do cover him, the Bills have tons of other players who will make something happen. Johnson, Hollins, Kincaid, Davis, Coleman, Knox, all of those guys are on the same page and are good at catching the ball. Allen is surrounded by big bodies with good catching abilities, and he’s only knows that his elite O-line and personal escapability will allow enough time for him to find someone open, run to take care of it himself, or at the very least avoid a negative play. The only real exceptions are Cook and Shakir. Shakir has shorter arms and can’t reach for things as well as some, but his skillset allows him to really shine with an insanely low drop rate, being that nimble and solid slot guy who can really beat teams up. At the same time, Cook has been a fantastic back, making this an incredibly diverse offense. Seriously, the Bills are way more complete on offense than anyone could’ve expected. Bring pressure, the O-line will pick it up and Allen will beat you. Take Shakir and Cooper out of the game, the Bills will bring out Ty Johnson. Try to stop the run game, Allen finds Coleman down field or checks it down to Hollins. Force Allen out of the pocket and Knox and Kincaid magically find themselves open and go for 25. Switch things up and watch James Cook cook. Get to third or fourth and one and watch Josh Allen turn himself into a human battering ram and push right through you for the touchdown. Gotta love how creative this team’s diverse and complete talent, elite O-line, amazing OC, and MVP QB has allowed them to be!!

hi: this should not surprise you the least. Jim Kelly was run and shooting even back in 90's. Run and Shoot is the same as this type of formation: you do no huddle and you run confusion and hit weak spots where the defense cannot cover. This is no surprise that Bill are still good at finding the holes.
@sprawlz6466Күн бұрын
Actually the advanced metrics say he was less accurate this year than he has been for the past 4 seasons. It really just boils down to the fact that his offensive coordinator isn’t a total dunce anymore and he can finally run a consistent offense. I hope the Bills manage to keep Brady around so Allen doesn’t have to learn a brand new system for the 3rd time in 3 years.

Great break down. This is the first video I seen of yours, now I'm gonna find more. (I'd love to see the Xs & Os of how Brady & Allen have evolved this season. Baltimore's Cover 0 heavy blitz and disguised rushes/coverage, followed by Houston's simple Cover 1 / 1 high middle close both gave the Bills FITS. I was worried the receivers talent wasn't going to beat man coverage after that. But then all the teams tried it. Lions, Jets, Miami, Patriots, even the Rams 3-4 & KC almost abandoned the heaviest zone D in the league for man, and the Bills were then able to beat it. Brady's formations seemed to work. It was worrying, cuz Allen has ALWAYS been great against man (most dual threats are - there's generally an open lane to take if the X didn't get open). But since those early bad games against man coverage, how have they been beating it since?

He’s just not creative
@t4d0W21 сағат бұрын
Creativity helps when you have one of the most dynamic QBs who can effortlessly throw rockets from within 50 yards without having their foot set while on the move and has the athleticism/size to run through DBs on scrambles/designed runs. Also helps the interior of the O-line is pretty buff so despite the video being about the Bills pass game in these condensed looks, they are actually a pretty good run team to begin with. Since they bunch the defense up and use speed/misdirection to have Cook or Allen run the ball for good yardage. The Steelers don't have as much talent on offense and thus are really limited with what they can consistently do. Sure they have TEs that can work as moving linemen but they don't have the interior O-line for run blocking along with the explosive and efficient RBs to punish defenses playing 2 safety looks.
