Honestly, I think it would be a better option for me. I am a Cheifs fan, and I only keep up with one team in the NFL and that team is it. So, it's a local team for me. $39.99 fits my budget and to just watch the one team I love is fair enough. Now, I keep up with mainly college football which I pay a separate subscription with ESPN+(which I can also enjoy F1 racing). Now the fact that NFL+ is only a mobile thing is okay for me cause my family isn't big sports fans so if I wanted to, I can throw my earbuds in go out of the room and watch the games. I definitely thank you guys for the info though!

Nop!. I get enough games shown on my OTA antenna TV. Why should I pay for something I now get for free. I also watch whatever games are shown on network TV, college or Pro. Thanks for the video information.

I got NFL Sunday Ticket on DirecTV last year (2022) with the hopes of being able to see my favorite team (SF 49ers). As it turned out, I was unable to see almost all of their games because they were aired on Fox network - which miraculously became unavailable on DirecTV. We currently have Dish network and still cannot see any content from Fox without the use of Hulu+. I'm worried that purchasing the KZbin version of NFL Sunday Ticket will bring the same limitations. Am I correct, or is KZbin able to show me EVERY 49ers game (Preseason to SB)?

Even if I disagree, I can respect your opinions, folks, but you should be careful about getting the facts right. At 08:26, John says that the service doesn't offer the ability to watch out-of-market games on TV. That's incorrect, and contradicts what you mention earlier. NFL+ doesn't let you watch live out-of-market regular-season games on television, but you can watch out-of-market replays on TV, usually within an hour after a local game ends.
@FrugalRules
@FrugalRules 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the input, we do appreciate it. What you're referencing there is John is meaning you can't watch them live, as the game is happening. We can see how that'd be confusing though. 🙂
@ryuhayabusa6776
@ryuhayabusa6776 2 жыл бұрын
@@FrugalRules Indeed. I don't see why live viewing is such a big deal in this case. If my local team is on, I'll probably want to watch them and catch the out-of-market game later. And even if my local team wasn't on, I wouldn't pay $70 just to watch another game immediately when I could pay $10 to watch it, and plenty of others, three hours later. I'm surprised that you two, who promote frugality, don't appreciate the value that NFL+ offers for such a relatively low cost. To each their own.
@FrugalRules
@FrugalRules 2 жыл бұрын
@@ryuhayabusa6776 That's a fair point, re: the frugality aspect. For someone like you that does get value out of it....it obviously works. 🙂 Our thinking is this, for strictly live this isn't replacing something many can get through their OTA or streaming service. This would just be an added cost. That is, unless, you want the supplementary features the app offers. Added to that, is the issue of watching the game after it airs live. If you're like us, you already have the local game on, which is going to show scores...not to mention getting notifications of scores on your device. If my, generally speaking here, team loses, am I really going to want to go back and watch the game knowing they lost? If it was a big game, sure that's a possibility, but how many are going to do that? We get that some do just want to have football on much of the day, which is obviously fine, and the app may fit that desire. But, if you're fine with whatever is on your network and can watch it live then why have the app? Anyway, like you said, to each their own. That's a big part of the beauty of streaming. 🙂

I really enjoy what you guys are doing lately, which is why I subscribed. But I think you guys are really missing the target on this one. To the point that you even gave some incorrect information. This is my 2nd season using NFL+ Premium (formerly NFL Game Pass), after having Sunday Ticket for several years before that. First and foremost, you do NOT have to wait until the next day to watch a game. Full game replays are available anywhere from 5 mins (on a good day) to 30 minutes (on a bad day) right after the game ends. So that means that 1:00 PM kickoff games are usually available to watch sometime between about 4:05-4:30 PM. Unless of course they run long or go into overtime. And unlike Sunday Ticket ( whose games are only available to watch live as they happen with the base plan) you can watch and rewatch the game replays anytime you want. Be 5 minutes after the game is over, or a month or two later if that's your pleasure. All for about a 3rd of the price of Sunday Ticket. And while you are right, this service is clearly not for the casual NFL fan...neither is Sunday Ticket! In fact I would argue that NO sports streaming service is for the "casual fan". But if you are a hard core NFL fan, this service is hard to beat. Two or three games you're interested in that all have 1:00 kickoffs...No Problem! Watch your local team live and then can watch the other two games right after with NFL+ Premium. And all of this for less than $100. You can't beat that with a stick! Hope this was helpful and keep up the good work!
@FrugalRules
@FrugalRules 2 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your feedback and for catching our mistake on the replay issue. You're correct - it's not a day. Honestly, we feel the NFL could improve their messaging on that in their marketing. You have to dig to get that info. It shouldn't be that way, especially if they want the app to be successful. That said, we'd have to agree to disagree that we missed the target on this. It's largely a play for the NFL to make more money and, arguably, to get user data...which is incredibly valuable to them. For many fans, who have access to their local games via OTA or a streaming service and know they're not going to miss much this service is not worth the cost. Sure, they do offer some nice things that some fans will like. But, you have to upgrade to get a lot of that.
@comicphantom2888
@comicphantom2888 2 жыл бұрын
@@FrugalRules Yeah, we definitely have to agree to disagree on this one. Of course it's a play for the NFL to make more money! It's a business. The only reason they exist is to make money, just like ANY other company. And acquiring your data is also what just about EVERY major company is doing now in the 21st Century. That just makes the NFL the same as all the rest. However, my point is that the service is a great deal. If you really wanted, you could theoretically watch EVERY SINGLE GAME of the regular season (any time you want) with NFL+ Premium for just $80! You can't do that with Sunday Ticket, which costs more than three times as much. That's 272 regular season games you could conceivably watch, all for less than what it would cost you to actually go to ONE of them. That's a bargain in my book all day!
@FrugalRules
@FrugalRules 2 жыл бұрын
@@comicphantom2888 We think you're missing our point. 🙂 Many, if not most, people don't want restrictions. They also don't want to have to wait to watch a game. This new service is doing little to solve that on multiple levels. And, yes, they're no different than other companies. That really wasn't our point. The point is that doesn't mean we HAVE to give them extra $ for something we don't want. We're happy it works for you. But, in our opinion, it's really only a fit for a very small subset of fans. Beyond that, it's not worth it.
@ryuhayabusa6776
@ryuhayabusa6776 2 жыл бұрын
@@comicphantom2888 I couldn't agree with you more. Perhaps most people don't want to wait, but I imagine that most people can't afford Sunday Ticket every season either. This is a great alternative.

1. I bought the app. It loads slowly and stops randomly unlike the free any game Yahoo sports that I used last year on the same devices.. 2. I have not been able to run it on my Roku tv without providing a tv provider like Furbo etc which I don't have. 3. There are local market restrictions with the NFL+ $5 plan 4. There are 5 game time slots available. 3 on Sunday & 1 each on thur & monday 5. I can get the same 3 games NFL+ offers for free with my TV antenna on my Roku app based tv 6. I can get thur & Mon game highlights for free on KZbin. 7. Conclusion. NFL+ doesn't work for me because of comparable free on air geographical antenna based options & poor NFL+ streaming quality.

NFL + probably not worth it but it saved me on MNF week 7. I live in Illinois and want to see the Bears. I have an antenna and get all major OTA stations with several duplicates. Also have ESPN+ and Prime. MNF is on NBC and when I tried to watch, it was blocked in my market. After a panicked search, I found NFL+ and signed up and watched a great game! I later discovered that I probably could have watched on my Laptop instead of phone but still, good game. I have the basic plan so no game replays. I hope the other games will be on TV. I will cancel before 5 days and if I need again, will grab a month here and there. Does it seem right that OTA NBC was blocked but the game was on NFL+. The terms state Live, Local games that are On Air? I'm confused but it worked.

@comicphantom2888 2 жыл бұрын
@@FrugalRules Then the NFL did screw up on their site. Yes, it is true that with NFL+ it is mobile only. But that restriction drops with NFL+ Premium. With Premium , the same games that you can watch (in your area) on broadcast TV are available to watch on your television with Premium. On the Games page, all the games for that day are shown on a list. The ones being broadcast in your local market are marked with a "Live" notification to the right. Click on any of those and you can watch it right there, directly on your television. But you are right, the NFL needs to do a MUCH better job of conveying how the service actually works!
