I am not sure they snuck up on anyone last year. I think the last half of the 2022 season teams where taking notice and it carried into the 2023 season.

The Lions didn't sneak up on anyone last season. They finished 8-2 in the last 10 games of 2022. They opened the 2023 season with a win on the road at Kansas City. Now if other teams thought they were going to be facing the SOL team, thats on them. The Lions had shown they needed to be taken seriously as a football team!

49er fan here. I just want to say your team didn’t sneak up on our fan base. The Lions are one bad ass team. Knew that at the end of the 2022 season. Also, the Lions fan base is amazing. You people have been through so much over the years. Total respect from me. You’ve had some of the greatest players ever at their positions. Barry Sanders is the best ever and Megatron is really only second to Jerry Rice in my opinion.. That being said, good luck and hope to see you guys in the NFC championship again 👍🏻✌🏼

I hate to write it but this could be the Lions year. I’m no Detroit fan although I’ve always said Goff got a bad rap. But I think the Lions will really have confidence this year knowing they’re good enough to go to the Super Bowl. I tell you people in Detroit would freak out if they won the Super Bowl.

Chiefs, cowboys, bills, seahawks all have bye week before playing 49ers. They all have extra time to prepare, not the 49ers. Do your research before stating false information.

Preparing a game plan is swell. But it still must be executed and the Niners will have 6-10 days of rest in all but two games. Don’t worry. They’ll be ready. Last year the 49ers played three games in 14 days, followed by three games in 11 days. We crushed 8 playoff teams in the regular season last year. The 49ers rarely lose unless they forfeit because it’s the last game of the season, and they clinched a playoff spot or 1 seed.

Look at Jared Goff stats indoor vs outdoor. The Lions 2024 schedule is 90% indoor games with only one that will be in cold weather Chicago. Yes the schedule looks tough in terms of opponents but it favors Goff Indoors.

I just think if you’re truly a great team you should nearly welcome a rough schedule. Why? Well, if you get through it, fairly healthy, and make the playoffs, you’ll have been tested. And so you will be ready for playoff games because you’ve already beaten other good teams. I think it’s a trap hoping for an easy schedule or dreading a tough one. Well, I guess that’s at least what Vince Lombardi might think.
