We really really need to stop referring to every single "1 score game" as if that's the defining feature. A game where a team is up by 10 with 1 minute to go and they allow their opponent to score, making it a "1 score game" but then needs to convert an onside kick plus additional miracle, is very different than a game you win with a last minute drive. Both of these are technically "1 score games" but in one of those games you had like 95% win probability the whole time

Yes, I think the Vikes have about 5 or 6 one score wins where the losers NEVER had a chance to win because they never had the ball when they were within one score. I think the Chiefs and Vikes do what they have to, to establish a lead, then just control the game. Whenever they get behind and need a scoring drive, they go to their A list plays and inevitably score.
@NickyTesla9 сағат бұрын
@robe2504 yeah, and the Bears took the vikings to overtime with the ball first. So maybe we shouldn't pretend like it's nothing.
@nickwilson72419 сағат бұрын
@@NickyTesla nobody is saying it's nothing. But when you treat the SF game where they pulled within 1 score with 30 seconds left and going for an onside kick as if that's the same as the Seahawks game where they needed a late TD to take the lead, then that's a bad way to categorize things. Those are both "1 score games" but they had very different game flows and should be treated differently
@LateNightwithStudBuyers6 сағат бұрын
@@nickwilson7241it's the same idea as, like, clarifying inflated garbage time numbers. yes, those numbers are impressive. but they only were achieved because the other team allowed it, knowing they wouldn't affect the overall outcome of the game. idk what the solution is, tho, or how to categorize that. but I agree!

Baltimore swept cincy this year, but as a ravens fan, I’d be terrified to play them in the playoffs. Playing the Bengals at home is a more terrifying prospect to me than traveling to Pittsburgh, Miami, or Denver

I keep hearing how Jordan Love is one of the "best young" Qbs. Sam Darnold is 1 year older than Love. Darnold is 1 year younger than Burrow. Darnold is a young QB. Steve and Sam were among the first to give Darnold props. So many were avoiding that by saying it was O'Connell or Flores's defense was why they were winning and always saying they were going to lose because of Darnold.

Keep AR under 20 passing attempts, and the team works fine. He's not accurate enough to pass on the regular. He can succeed, but he has to work hard this offseason to get better.

I think the Vikes might have one of their more comfortable wins this week, back inside and in front of their home crowd. The Packers had their chance in week 4.
@Erik_Ice_Fang9 сағат бұрын
Im not going to sit here guaranteeing that GB wins, but you do realize they played far better in Seattle two weeks ago compared to the Vikings last Sunday. I dont think this is going to be remotely close to comfortable regardless of which team wins
@robe25049 сағат бұрын
@@Erik_Ice_Fang You realise that sport is not transitive - so A > B, B > C, does not mean A > C? It's a match up league. Jacobs ran all over the Seahawks. The weather was Ok. The Seahawks were even more desperate the next week, and the weather was more of a factor. You might want to consider that Jacobs has 85 yards total over the last two times he has faced the Flores D - seeing as you value what happened last time.
@Erik_Ice_Fang6 сағат бұрын
GB ranks top 10 in offense and defense (like the Vikings) and have improved significantly since week 4. I still give the Vikings the slight edge, but the to think this will be a comfortable game when GB is far better than the average Vikings opponents is a stretch
@robe25045 сағат бұрын
@@Erik_Ice_Fang It might be, but if the first go around was anything to go by, the Vikes are a really bad match up for the Packers. GB was playing roulette virtually the whole second half and got away with a lot of things that could have gone the opposite way and ended in an epic blowout. The Vikes dropped at least 4 more INTs, and McKinney dropped his.
@Erik_Ice_Fang5 сағат бұрын
@robe2504 if this was week 6 or 7 I would be really frightened on a rematch with the Vikings. They are an excellent team still and deserve credit. My point is that GB has improved massively in the 3 months since. Two top 10 offenses vs two top 10 defenses shouldn't result in a blowout either way. Either way though, I am super excited about this game

Jacobs has gone 13 for 34 and 9 for 51 the last two times he has faced the Flores D. Jacobs was 18 for 66 against the Lions practice squad D. When Jacobs doesn't get going - the Packers have problems.
@Erik_Ice_Fang9 сағат бұрын
GB still scored 31 the last Lions game. I think it has far more to do with first year coordinator Hafley still learning and not able to slow down the big time offenses.
@robe25049 сағат бұрын
@@Erik_Ice_Fang Yes, against that Lions defence that literally started 4 guys who were on other teams practice squads the previous week. One of the Jonah Williams, a decent player was poached off the Vikes practice squad by the Rams, before the Lions poached him from there. It was embarrassing watching the Packers struggle against that Lions line up. I don't see how they can be a contender when they couldn't compete with the Lions practice squad defence.

@@robe2504 Jacobs also averaged under 4 yards per carry against Seattle. Again, GB scored over 30. Whats your excuse there?
@robe25047 сағат бұрын
@@Erik_Ice_Fang Why would I make excuses for the Seahawks? The Vikes don't need excuses. It's the Packers that got their tails absolutely whipped at Lambeau. I just rewatched that game. Damn that should have been 40-10. I'd forgotten how many bullets the Pack had dodged with McKinney's bobbled goal line INT, the really bad Nailor spot, 2 or 3 more close call INTs. A couple of delay of game penalties on Darnold still learning the play calls. The first GB scoring drive of the game wasn't until 7:53 to go in the 3rd quarter. Darnold shredded that Packers D all day. Any given Sunday is legit, but I wouldn't be surprised if the Vikes put a real beat down on the Packers this weekend.

You do know that most tv remotes have a netflix button and even if they do not it is two clicks instead of one when flipping. Also multiple screens exist. In the voice of Larry David: Oh my God what a genius Godell is, I cannot believe it. Putting a game on netflix, who would have thought of that.
