*The Lions are definitely top ten more likely Top 7* _Everyone is crying about The Chiefs_ not having Kelce, and Jones. The Lions didn’t have Jameson Williams, Isaiah Buggs, nor Emanuel Mosley. Don’t forget to mention that Aidan Hutchinson would have at least 2-3 sacks on Mahomes if it wasn’t for Juwan Taylor illegally lining up for 5+ snaps

Those players that the Lions were missing aren’t on the same level as Kelce and Jones. Mahomes, Kelce, and Jones make the Chiefs who they are. It’s pretty obvious that that game would have been a lil different had they played. Chiefs haven’t lost sine they been back!

Lions at 11 lol give me break. Lions are 9-2 in the last 11 games with a top 5 offense and improved their defense a *massive* amount over last season. I'm calling it right now the Lions will be NFC champs this season.

Think the lions deserve a ton of credit for a tough road win. Just want to see them consistently put performances together but a great week 1! I get the other thoughts just didn’t want to react too much to week 1 and thought all of those teams had surprising performances so wanna see it again!

@ultimatescouting I understand your thought process. Although I will say winning 9 of the last 11 games should make you feel more comfortable putting them in the top 10. The lions have played great football since middle of last year. One thing about the lions is they don't beat themselves. That alone can win you a bunch of games.

Does it make sense to put the Rams higher when Kupp is out. Yes they beat a team they know extremely well. But SF is coming to town next week. So a reality check will be had.

Colts moving DOWN 2 spots is wild. There’s no way you could’ve imagined them being BETTER than this, before the season started. If you watched the game, our defense was not “carved up” by Lawrence. Our D-line is severely underrated, especially in the run game, and Zaire Franklin had 18 tackles. Richardson had an amazing debut performance, and we could have easily beaten the “number 10” team in your power rankings, if playcalling was a little better. It was 2 big plays that changed the game from 17-21 to 31-21.

I agree they played pretty well but ultimately the teams that jumped them (Commanders and Rams) got wins which is why they jumped them. Colts performed exactly as I expected and am very excited to see what Richardson can do this year!

Good rankings !! Fair, if people want every team that won to be moved up, just look at standings! A team beating another does not necessarily make them better

the lions starters did not play in the pre season. they will be better because the lions played like crap so i think the chiefs lost cuz of carmen there one offensive lineman openly held every snap and jump back before the snap everyone seen it . the eagles line does the same thing lets see if the nfl straitens out

Saints at 21 is criminal. Pass rush and great corner play wins in the NFL. Saints have that. MT healthy Olave looks great Kamara back in 2 weeks. They are a top 12 team.

as an eagles fan respect to Bill’s coaching and your defense. You guys had so many hybrid guys you were throwing at jalen. You played him the best I’ve seen any defense play him in the past 2 years. He didn’t throw a pick but still made him throw out of bounds on the run or stopped him in his scrambles. That fumble was a fantastic play and almost gave me a heart attack. What was worse was that 4th and 2 call, I just wanted them to punt. We held on literally, you guys were one foot down on the catch away from winning that game. Cheers. My team has to get their shit together but I can see NE getting back to their 2021 form with Mac Jones sneaking them into the postseason.

Damn, the Lions went into Arrowhead, played a bad game and beat the defending champs on banner night and still get disrespected by not getting into the top 10, they are definitely a top 5 team. I also like how the Lions destroyed the Jags last season with a worse team and still fall below the Jags on most peoples power rankings. People are saying the Lions will win the North, watch em top the NFC. Ya'll need to stop holding the last 60 years against the Lions. Not SOL, One Pride baby!!! Also, the Bills looked like trash and they stay at 5 and the Bangles got beat by the Browns, all I can say is damn. That top 10 needs a rework! 🤣

I get the argument, they won a big game against a great team but I’m not looking to overreact to one week. It’s a new season and week 1 can often lie about a teams long term success. I am hoping the lions continue to show out because I’d love for them to be a force in the NFC

A bit odd that the ravens had a solid win against the Texans without Andrews and with Marcus and JK going out but still drop 2 whereas the Eagles Barely beat the Pats & move up 1..& Bengals got slapped by Browns, looked horrible but are a spot above the Ravens😅 Must be a division bias or something

I am just not confident in Todd Bowles at HC and Baker at QB I like some of the weapons and the defense has nice pieces but just not convinced about them over the course of the season

It’s not supposed to be based solely on the NFL standings it’s based on the quality of the teams roster and how I expect them to play over the course of the season based on the info we have. Do you really think the Bucs or Bears are better than the Bengals or Chiefs just because they lost week 1?

Lions are behind tge Jags, who Detroit MUD STOMPED LAST SEASON, what was it, like 44 to 13 or something? And the Jets above them, who the Lions beat also last season AT NY, on their home turf. I think the Eagles and Chiefs are going to be tough to beat moving forward. Both teams had some opening jitters, Eagles won Chiefs lost. But both teams are going to adjust quickly. Their talent pool is just too high. If I had to predict it right now I'd say a SB repeat. Reid is going to reel the Chiefs in to a stellar season. Mahomes is just getting started, and Kelce will be back to shore up the O. Siriani is going to refine all that talent to a well oiled machine. Thursday is going to be key for them. If they beat the Vikings they'll pretty much set the pace for the rest of their season. I'm not counting SF out, because they are a threat. But not that much of one. And the Cowboys......they'll choke in the playoffs. Bills are the wildcard here. Need to see a few more weeks of them.

I also discount applying asterisks to Detroits win over KC, which was still at KC with referees who didn’t call 20 penalties on the right tackle. Yes Toney dropped a pass that would have gotten them in FG range but that supposes the kicker makes it. The interception run back was early and it’s hard to blame Toney for the loss on that. I also saw him hang 2 other passes that could've been easy picks that had nothing to do with drops. Waaaah about his receiver being out, I don't care. Lions had a star deep threat WR out too. They just have something called depth and don't rely on 2 players and a cheating o-line.
