You can tell he's a good dude who's really trying too & he's getting better so you gotta stick the kid out there & just see if he can figure it out. He just isn't ready. In today's NFL, when it's easier to throw the ball now more than ever, he should be able to complete more than 50% of his passes. Furthermore, he comes off as immature and lacking self-awareness. I don't think he was "tired" when he chose to come out on 3rd and goal. He panicked. He was fine the whole game; but for one of the most pivotal plays that could put them in the lead for the division title, all of a sudden he's tired. And then his answer at the press conference was that he was tired. I don't know which is worse; him being tired or him being unaware of how that makes him look to his teammates and the public. Truthfully, he wasn't even getting college; the Colts decided to draft him purely off of his potential and athleticism, and that's looking like it wasn't the best idea. I'd feel bad for him if he wasn't so cocky.

tbf its all big school QBs that have that knock, not just Ohio State. They all have 5 star WRs and 5 star O-lineman, and like 6+ seconds to throw every play (like Bryce did). There's a reason that outside Tua & Stafford there hasn't been a good Georgia / Bama QB in the NFL for 20+ years but those two schools are the favorite to win the Natty every year. If I was an NFL GM though, I'd always go with guys that are at BCS schools, but smaller programs, that get their team to overachieve. Examples: Jackson at Louisville, Mahomes at TX Tech, Dak as MS State, Purdy at Iowa St. etc. have proven to be more successful in the NFL. They have to do more, with less, against good competition.

The fumble return for a TD gave me deja vu on the Colts/Texans 2008 game...too bad he was marked down after the recovery. The game was lost at the end of the first half. You are backed up on your 5 yard line. After the JT run for 7, you run again on 2nd down (you only need 3 yards), take a knee on the next play and go into halftime tied. Shane is going about it all wrong. He needs to put AR in a position to succeed by smart situational play calling...he hasn't. All of Indy's games have been decided by 6 pts or less and the defense is starting to play better. If Shane implemented Indy's running game more efficiently, they'd be 6-2. This is not a rebuilding year...this team can win now. The problem is that HC and QB are holding the team back. This season, you start Flacco day 1, bring AR in on certain packages, but have him learn from Flacco. As the season progresses, you ease in AR on more plays...maybe have him even start the final two regular season games. AR is very raw (only 13 college starts) and isn't seasoned enough to be a regular starter in the NFL. Take my approach this year, AR learns under Flacco while the Colts make the playoffs, then maybe AR could be able to be a f/t starter next year.

@@soulknife20 I hate hearing this take that he just needs to learn. He is verging on historically bad as a passer. The guy has been playing football his whole life. He shouldn't be this bad. Of course going to the NFL is a big change and players do improve over the years, but he is just so far behind that he will be permanently injured or retired before he gets to where he needs to be. Also, to add to this, he wasn't even that good in college either. His legs will help us win a game here and there, but that just isn't enough.

Will Anderson Jr just feasting 5:15 . They doubled Hunter but you can't double them both. WAJ might win the sack crown this year and I think he'll be the best Defensive player to ever play for Houston. I think JJ will agree by the time WAJ retires. He's the real deal. Future HOFer, no question.

@@soulknife20 It could have gone either way but once they got behind with Richardson even by 3 points the game seemed over. Texans or a much better team but were missing key offensive players and Colts made it easy on the Texans by playing Richardson. CJ Stroud who is amazing was never put to the test to win this game.

The big question is can Indy wind a SB with Flacco.. id give it a 10 percent chance atm at best.. but he does have the weapons.. WR1 & Wr2 with some good WR3&4 and a gun at RB1.. solid Oline and Flacco has won a ring so he knows what it takes. If you look at this defense they are all captains in their college years so they are leaders with a desire to get better and they have looked like they are wanting to get better every week.. If they start Flacco they have to sign him for next year. AR if he can get consistency with his passing, learning from one of the best pocket passes in Flacco, this colts team will be a dominant force for the next 10 years..
