I was watching a highlight video for Blake Corum. I saw two of his runs where he cut back and this guy came blistering down the field to block for him 30 yards down the field. It was JJ McCarthy. He didn't have to do that at all. He was out of the play. It demonstrated what kind of leader he is. Some people downplay that. They try to make it seem like he had nothing to do with them winning. And yet when he made the decision to come to UM to help them win they weren't that good. They were struggling. He's got whatever Aaron Rodgers had coming into the league. A bullet for an arm. Accurate. Full of moxie.

Rodgers is a bad comparison. Perhaps the arm-strength & 'woo-woo' meditation led you there. However, Rodgers is all about being MVP, an individual award, as opposed to being a team player & winning championships. JJ was asked to hand the ball off at times & he executed, rather than deciding on his own to show-off and throw the ball, which he's more than capable of. Also JJ puts in the time all throughout off-season; don't see him skipping OTA's, even if he's been there > decade (hello Green Bay), as there will always be new players coming in to mesh with. Brady took slightly less pay & trained up tons of new guys over more than 2 decades and he's got 7 rings for it vs Rodgers measly 1. Also, JJ doesn't actually need the pressure of being compared to either of them. He will walk his own path. I just hope he isn't forced to start as QB1 immediately; both Brady (1-year) & Rodgers (3-years) sat and learned initially. Even JJ got to observe Cade McNamara in his freshman year, when the Wolverines beat OSU and won the B1G Championship that year; that exposure likely helped him the next 2-years.

@@Kitty8791 What is "'woo-woo' meditation"......Yoga meditation is just another way to calm your mind and go to within, which makes going through life alot easier especially if your an athlete or military. It is widely known among successful people that meditation is a great tool.

@@Thebluesky0311 I think you didn't bother to read my entire comment. People often think meditation is 'fluffy' & unscientific. It's highly useful for successful athletes. "Mind Over Water" by Craig Lambert & "Psyching for Sport" by Terry Orlick, PhD are classics from the rowing realm, but applicable to all sports. The point was that meditation is lumped w/ ayahuasca, darkness retreats and crystals championed by Aaron Rodgers. They are not the same & should not be conflated.
