T.J. Edwards played football with me at Lakes Community High School even though I was with him for one year because I was a freshman and he was a senior back in 2014! He was the one player who almost severely injured Patrick Mahomes in Super Bowl LVII when he was still with the Eagles! It’s funny how the defense was almost top ten in a lot of stats except PPG. I feel like that shows that the offense/special teams kept putting them in bad situations. They were also the second worst in red zone which doesn’t help, and I’m not saying that they didn’t start off rough and have some terrible games at the beginning and got better as the season went on. It’s just odd how the math is mathing with the stats.

Well the offense allowed 31 points scored for the other team by pick 6's and fumbles. If you take those out the defense is 12th. Just have to find the context behind some of the points.

We had the worst punter in the NFL last year, which is why drafting Tory Taylor was a big move. You got to pair a good defense that can turn the ball over with a guy who can flip the field and pin teams deep and there was no one even close to Taylor in both categories last year in college.

8 wins. Caleb will need time to adjust to the NFL. He can play extremely sloppy at times if he feels he needs to do too much. That's going to be the key, making certain Caleb doesn't feel like he has to do everything by himself. When he does, he plays poorly, like in the Notre Dame game. Next year they may be scary if Williams develops.

I will agree the Bears botched it in many ways, but JF1 was just not as good as people thought regardless of what the Bears did or did not do. I will say it again, people WANTED JF1 to be good and were hoping he would develop. The expectation for Caleb as the 1st pick in the draft are SIGNIFICANTLY different. Caleb is just a better prospect than JF1 ever was by nearly every metric and every scout. You really can't find anyone or anything saying JF1 was as good coming into the league as Caleb because it just isn't true.
