@@theeboss93nah, the defense didn’t sell as badly as people say. The offense couldn’t close it out in the 4th. All they needed to do was run the ball and kick a FG. Instead they pass, get sacked, and then get a penalty to put them out of FG range. Keep in mind they were still up 8 pts.

I was literally crying tears of happiness after Super Bowl 54. What was bizarre or neat was getting texts and phone calls from all kinds of people that I knew (random acquaintances, coworkers, family and my friends of course), congratulating me on the Chiefs win. It was kind of touching to be honest. Not sure the wife appreciated the "this is the happiest day of my life!" comment I made to one of my friends. Of course I corrected myself and said, "the second happiest day of my life!" But my wife's "I don't remember you crying at our wedding" comment led me to believe she wasn't thrilled with all of my emotions that day. Hahaha...

Nearly 9 months later, I'd like to think I've gained some perspective. This Super Bowl, more than any other that I can remember, felt like the ultimate chess match. You saw pawns being moved at the beginning of the first and second half, and things opening up later in each half and in overtime. A good chunk of the reason for that, in my eyes, is the sheer volume of coaching and playing talent each team possessed in their arsenal on both sides of the ball and those people's ability to capitalize on any kind of error. And despite what some people may think of Tony Romo, he's the guy you would've wanted taking you through this, because of the level of nuance he imbues his analysis with. An all-time classic on all fronts, and I'm sorry for 49ers fans that they had to be on the losing end of it.

when the chiefs gained a fresh set of downs, first and goal and the OT period was almost over. when they actually came out and went to the los why didn't Kyle call a timeout after seeing what formation they lined up in and to call one just in case they did indeed were going to run a play before the end of the OT??? KC did that because SF defense was gassed. They know IT... how did Kyle not call a timeout which was his job to do there for MULTIPLE reasons? He will always be a 2nd place type of guy to me because of his clutch in-game decision blunders. SF also quickly came out of huddle on their own 3rd down and went empty (not smart v Jones) KC is a dynasty due to Reid + Mahomes playoff prowess + Kelce and an ever improving defense (scary) with Spags at D-Coordinator (the 18-0 Brady stopper)
