I think it’s rigged through referees and a few key penalties tilted one way. As the saying goes, you could call holding on every play. Picking and choosing when to call those types of close call penalties for maximum impact is how they do it. Very few people would have to be in on it. Close games, more offense, villainous dynasties for casuals to hate, etc are often favored. Gambling means teams that fewer people bet on are more profitable for Vegas and therefore the league. The “sucker born every minute” quote sounds like the hordes of fans who pay for tickets, merchandise, NFL TV access, etc without knowing outcomes are steered for maximum fan engagement and revenue. I still watch because it’s entertaining, like movies and TV shows.

They can't control everything but they can definitely influence games enough to affect the outcome. Not every game is rigged, probably 15-20% of games

I’m a chiefs fan but Kittle deserves no hate. He loves Kelce too. And he’s asked by his team to block more and isn’t given the same role as Kelce and he does exactly what’s asked of him.
