Reminds me of Cam Newton with his high throws. And after watching these highlights he reminds me a lot of Cam Newton (panther fan throughout newtons time with the team) 1. Very flashy 2. Can run really good 3. Can give you a great throw from time to time, but…..also has those “what the hell was that throws” into coverage that gets intercepted. I remember those games a lot.

@@pristinedecision1877its not that hard to fix. its all about footwork and mechanics, which can easily be implemented by the coaching staff for AR. what it will come down to is whether or not richardson puts in the work, watches film, understands his mistakes and takes from them to improve on his game, or if he goes the jamarcus russel route and sips lean at practice

@@cell85043My biggest problem with Richardson going back to college is his accuracy. His ball location is shotty. Even when he completes passes, it's rarely in stride. Stroud isn't the athlete Richardson is, but he's the complete opposite. It's pinpoint. Bryce too just has natural accuracy. Richardson is a freak athlete..he's only 21, huge arm. All the traits are there. His throwing motion seems fluid, which is promising. That was my problem with Lance. He's got a great arm, but he aims it and throws it like a shotput. That being said, QBs don't get more accurate. You just have it or you don't. I think Richardson will end up like Cam, outside MVP season. Good overall. His athleticism will allow him to make plays others can't. He'll have high highs. But you have to live with the fact he'll struggle to complete 60% of his throws.

Watch his highlights from last season. This dude should be like Cooper Kupp. He gets open a lot and makes a lot of tough catches. Richardson is not an accurate QB. He makes bad decisions also. The design was to blanket or at least double cover him and Richardson throws to him when he is. Matt Ryan had touch and could fit in tight windows accurately. As a Colt's fan my whole life, I wanted a pocket passer. I was hoping for Stetson Bennett. I think he is a much better QB. Lamar was a 57% passer in college. He benefited a lot from sitting behind Flacco. Richardson is bring thrown to the wolves a little bit. If the fan base can be patient with him he definitely seems to have all the physical talent to be good if he can get comfortable with the playbook and the looks NFL defenses throw at him. Something I noticed is he had a few passes he forced into terrible coverages instead of a wide open running lane. He'll have to learn to trust his physical traits and not try to be something he's not. There's a few big play drops from the receivers that if they were caught would have made his debut seem much more impressive on paper. What I'm curious about his how much of it is the receivers just not stepping up VS Richardson not throwing a catchable ball. When Cam was new to the NFL his receivers would complain about how hard he'd throw the ball and how difficult it was to catch. If I remember correctly he essentially told them to get used to it lol.

He need to corral that arm there’s so much power that he needs to learn he can’t make the same mistakes he did in college, but I think he can do that and when he does, he could easily be a top five quarterback. reminds me a lot of young Lamar, Jackson, and Randall Cunningham

Definitely going to be a learning year. Maybe a couple elite run games. I expect him to bust in the end but we'll see hopefully the Colts can develop him. Can't get carried by Manning and Luck, they have to work on a QB this time for sure.

As a life long Colts fan but also a realistic one. I think my Colts will end up picking the in the top 5 next year draft. Richardson should make the Colts fun to watch though it's just I don't believe in our weapons we have on offense and CB. If Taylor moves on I think it'll be a blessing in disguise then we can finally get a legit WR for Richardson.

His head coach was phillys OC . I like the RPO with this QB . If short passing accuracy is there. He throws darts. He struggles with the middle and deep ball like most young guys do. He’s mobile and he’s bigger than anyone past the line of scrimmage so he won’t go down easy if a play breaks down he can go get you 15 with his legs. He definitely needs more weapons than just Pittman lol. If they give me a legit number one and a nice guy in the slot with some good hands you could be back on top in Indy.

70% of the time throws ball over his receivers' heads. 25% of the time throws balls at the feet of his receivers. 5% of the time, gets it to receiver perfectly. This guy is a turn over machine with his throwing mechanic... Side arming with a flat-trajectory. Also leaving that arm out for good defensive-ends to swat for fumbles. Free agent on Fantasy Football, don't think the running upside outweighs these flaws.
