From a pure football stanfpoint, this is pretty awesome. Some of the lame comments down here that try to minimize this job or that bag on a guy like McVay prove that those who made the comments know very little about how much focus and thinking goes into being a head coach / offensive coordinator / defensive coordinator in the NFL or at any level in the awesome sport football. These guys are thinking about a billion other things besides standing in the right place - and not necessarily because they want to please the thousands of people in their fan base but mainly because they don't want to let down their guys on the field. Giviing their guys a chance to succeed in whatever situation they face to succeed is an art, and since a "Get Back" coach usually helps the decision-maker in this process, I give him props. No disrespect to those who disrespected this or mocked it, though. But definitely respect to those who respect this.

Me and some grad assistants were the get back "coaches" for our college team (small school). Our safety picked a pass off and was running down the opposite sideline. Out of nowhere our starting running back ran out on the side hashes with no helmet on whooping. I grabbed his shoulder pads and yanked him back before any ref spotted him (which is a damn miracle considering our sideline judge was almost where we were at).

well when you are calling plays, watching your players and thinking about what play to run next, you tend to have a lot on your mind so walking too far can happen.
