Vrabel was fired for a reason. As was everyone else under Bills Tree, or that played for him. That style does not work. Maye needs an offensive minded head coach like Ben Johnson or he will get the Mac treatment

@ they had a ton of injuries in Tennessee and no qb. We have the qb and Josh is going to make him great. Vrabels defenses make quarterbacks uncomfortable as he builds the team with smart bullies like himself

Even if the Patriots get Vrabel, let's just hope that he and Maye can convince some quality free agents to sign. Team NEEDS an Offensive line, reliable Wide Receivers. With that and Drake Maybe in his second year, the team could win at least 7-8 games next year. Just hoping that Christian Barmore gets healthy and past the blood clots. Defense could bounce back with returning players.

Belichick spent the whole year this year going on TV and being a personable, funny guy (personable enough in his 70s to have a 24 y.o. GF), so I'm not sure exactly what shade you think you're throwing when you say "at least Vrabel 'has the capacity' to maybe crack a joke." Belichick has shown us, for months, that he "has the capacity." You're the LAWYER, Florio. Aren't lawyers supposed to know EXACTLY which words not to use?

Maybe I’m missing something but it seems that Vrabel is the obvious hire in New England. Played there, won three rings, blah blah blah. I think he shouldn’t have been fired in Tennessee myself but they’re paying the price now. Now if Ben Johnson wants the job it’s his, but I’m not convinced Ben would. Just a gut feeling. But get Vrabel back there and maybe Ben Affleck and Matt Damon will start going to games again. (I read that the Patriots don’t have one team jet but rather TWO. Not all franchises have their own travel jets. If I were a coach that would be a huge selling point to me. I mean, who wants to travel coach? Coach is for losers.)

Isn’t it crazy and foolish how Florio speaks so certainly about what it takes to be a head coach and what being a head coach is like and how they need to act and operate when he’s literally never spent time at a facility and seen a coach do their job. All he’s seen are little snippets on the sidelines and coaches at the podium. It’s just crazy how assumption and confident he is when he’s never ever seen it or been apart of it. That’s like the biggest sign of delusion.
