As a Bears fan I don’t want Rome. I’d tather try and trade down a couple times and get Verse Turner or Liatu, in the teens. Then use the extra picks to trade into the 20s and get JPJ. A top 5 defense and a stud Center does more for a young QB than a third WR.
@odonnellcaleb7 ай бұрын
@@alvareza3I get it but ... We really need an edge. So even like 2 weeks ago I was hoping for your exact scenario... But now I'm so effing sold on Mohamed Kamara as a steal later in the draft. But just having a dude that can grow with Caleb and take Allen's place in a few years. But I just have this feeling like we are drafting a DT with our second pick (wherever it might end up). Good work by all. Appreciate the work that goes into these and the knowledge underpinning it. I can try and speak for Titans fans (well, for myself at least). Firstly, thanks for recognising that the roster (starters at least) are competitive, and being knowledgeable about them. The issue is mostly that, like a lot of mocks, the Titans get analysed by just re-establishing that LT is their primary need (true), seeing that person's OT1 still on the board, and saying "that'll do". Titans fan would mostly agree that if the Titans pick at 7, it should be for LT (except maybe for WR, but that's a different topic). The problem is there is no consideration for the depth of the OT class and weighing it against the Titans' other needs, picks, and trade-down options. You downplayed those needs because there are three holes in that front 7, plus RT, S, and CB4. Many Titans fans want to see a trade down and pick up one of the Tier 2 OTs (Fashanu, Latham, Fautanu, Fuaga) in that 10-14 range, because we need picks to fill the defensive holes, plus RT is still a need. It's made all the more frustrating when the Falcons are immediately discussed as a trade down candidate next pick, and you even had the Chargers drop to 18, still get a top OT and got three top-100 picks out of it. We don't mind if you decide not to do it, or that there are no suitable trade partners, but I think it's worth the discussion.
@BenFranklin17767 ай бұрын
Need a part 2. Even with different collabs, the top 20-25 will almost always be the first round. Even guys like Guyton and Byron fell here but still went. Where you start getting meaningful differences in prospect evals is picks 40+. Thats where the value to watch is. Plus, its all fine to say "There is WR depth in round 2". But lets see what that actually looks like. Are there enough to go around? Does a team picking at 60-ish actually need to package a late pick to bump up 10 slots? Also, this year, every first round mock should include the Panthers pick too. It just seems like a big oversight that they get left off. They are literally next and it lets a team in a tough spot get discussed.
