The problem Elliott is going to have is that if Cole Palmer isn’t a nailed on certainty in the England first XI, then he’s even further down the pecking order. The injury he had is massively unfortunate because he’s now got to force his way in to the Liverpool XI that is flying and Slot is going to be reluctant to make too many changes right now. His time will come but unless there’s injuries, then he might not get enough opportunities this season.

I love angel gomes! he has to go, tenacious and a hard tackler even though he is tiny and i haven't seen many of our players if any able to do that zipped disguised pass through the lines from cdm or even in the final third with that around the corner outside of his boot pass for grealish against finland, he is fantastic at that pass, works hard in the press for the team for the full 90 mins and is always moving so to be available for a pass, i described him as a wasp as he is always buzzing around the pitch with quick direction changes making him impossible to mark.

There will no doubt be a couple of players who burst onto the scene next season and end up on the plane who many people won't even have heard of yet. Interesting thing to see will be if Tuchel utilises a back 3, with wing backs. That typically means 2 number 10's and not touchline wingers, to allow space for the wing back to bomb up. I love angel gomes! he has to go, tenacious and a hard tackler even though he is tiny and i haven't seen many of our players if any able to do that zipped disguised pass through the lines from cdm or even in the final third with that around the corner outside of his boot pass for grealish against finland, he is fantastic at that pass, works hard in the press for the team for the full 90 mins and is always moving so to be available for a pass, i described him as a wasp as he is always buzzing around the pitch with quick direction changes making him impossible to mark.

It's incredibly tough to call whether there'll be surprise additions who're 18-19 at the time of the world cup but as a Utd fan,I've my eyes set on Mantato.Incredible talent.Only 16 yrs of age.Could be Utd's fix to Quenda's role at Sporting.I think he'll make his debut at some point this season along with Amass. Hardworking player with an eye for goal who's also rapid and has great balance and agility.The issue however is that England are stacked in the winger department. Saka,Gordon,Bowen ,Elliot,etc.

I think Liam Delap will be almost nailed on the no.2 no.9 by the time the world cup comes around Every club and youth national team he has played for he has been the main no.9 for good reason Sticking with Ipswich i would really like to see Leif Davis get an opportunity at LB not a player that has played through the national team youth system probably why he hasn't had alook in yet. He has come up from humble roots not really getting his break until he joined Ipswich in league one and has gone through the leagues with them, he was the best player in the championship last season in terms of assists and he is still not looked out of place in the premier league. Its simple. Bellingham in the 10 no deeper and build the team around him. This international break has proven it works when the team is balanced. Jude has been phenomenal. The team as a whole have been better since we havent tried to cram every good player in.
