@@toastedt140 I think a lot of new orleanders started hating him when he asked to be paid more money, and got upset when the front office franchise tagged him (if you know anything about tight ends, you’d know they get paid insanely low wages) Essentially, a lot of the fanbase valued him as a player but thought he was trying to overshadow Drew Brees. Priest Holmes was great but if you were going to go with an honorable mention at running back I would have gone with Charles over Holmes. You could have put anyone behind that great offensive line for KC in the early 2000s and they would have great success. Charles averaged 5.5 yards per carry for chiefs teams that did not have anywhere close to the elite level of play as those early 2000s lineman.

Priest Holmes might not be a top 4 running back in Chiefs history. Yes, he had a couple very good years, but he wasn't with the team for very long. Eli did or the defense did? Here are the facts: In the 2007 and 2011 playoffs, the Giants defense gave up an average of 15.1 points/game, none over 20 (NFL average was 21), and an opposing passer rating of 74. Eli still barely managed to win 5 of 8 games by 4 points or less on lucky last second plays. 2 of those 5 went to overtime in which Eli was 100% a non factor on the game winning drive that he was given credit for. The Giants literally could have won those games with almost any QB in the league, but not without what the defense did.

@@chazzx1018 He had to rely on the defense to hold the Patriots to 23 and 15 points below their season average to barely win. There is nothing impressive about that. Yes, he had a lot of yards and TDs. If he was actually a good player, he would have had more. He had 16 years to compile totals. But, what about his average attempt? His TD % (TDs/100 attempts) isn't in the top 70 all time. His yards/attempt are not in.... Well, I would tell you but, the list I looked at only went up to 90 and Eli was not close to appearing. In 2018, I did a comparison of Eli to Ben Roethlisberger. BR had more yards and more TDs on EIGHT HUNDRED AND FOUR FEWER attempts than Eli. Philip RIvers had NINE HUNDRED AND SEVENTY TWO FEWER attempts to have more TDs and slightly fewer yards. Aaron Rodgers had more than 100 more TDs than Eli on ONE THOUSAND FEWER ATTEMPTS. You see, just throwing a lot doesn't make a QB good. He has to have good results also and Eli just wasn't good enough.

Carolina's is pretty much exactly right, but I'd have added Jake Delhomme as an honorable mention. He outplayed Brady in that Super Bowl and while he is very clearly the second-best QB in franchise history behind Cam, I'm not convinced the gap between them is as big as a lot of people seem to think it is. Also think Jonathan Stewart and one of Ryan Kalil/Jordan Gross could have been honorable mentions, but that's splitting hairs because the actual Panthers Mount Rushmore is 100% correct.

Bucs fan here. Personally, my Buccaneers Mt. Rushmore is Brooks, Selmon, Barber and Evans. I'm of course a fan of Sapp, Lynch, Alsott and Levonte. All are all time players, but here's my justification: Selmon represented greatest when there wasn't much to celebrate. He was our first great star, and will always be our first HOFer. Brooks is the greatest player in Bucs history, and is one of the greatest defensive players in NFL history. Nuff said. Barber is a legend for what he gave to the team in the 02 season, and as a leader of the team both during his playing days, and afterwards. He's still heavily involved and loved. And it doesn't hurt that he's one of the greatest defensive backs, certainly during his generation. And finally, Mike Evans represents the latest era, and most recent Super Bowl. He is the greatest offensive player in franchise history, a future HOFer, and one of the greatest leaders in team history. And he's one of the best WRs of his generation. Not much else to say about that!

This was a great idea for a video. Wanted to wait a bit to see the comments before I shared mine. Surprised the 49ers came up first, but since I'm a fan I'd say you pretty much nailed it. When combining just player talent in addition to accolades they all stack up nicely. Montana, Lott, and Rice are/were perceived as the best to ever play at their position. Pretty remarkable they all played together for a number of years too. Can't really say that about any of the other Rushmore selections. Patrick Willis, and Jimmy Johnson are probably to me the hardest ones to have been left out of the top 4.

I'm an Eagles fan. Before watching the video my picks for the Eagles are Chuck Bednarik, Reggie White, Brian Dawkins, and Jason Kelce. Maybe Kelce is a stretch because he just retired, but to me he just epitomizes everything Philadelphia is about. If not Kelce then Steve Van Buren is my 4th.
@thedoubledowner5359

Kelce has a legit case to be there. I think if this list gets redone in a few years, he will be up there. If not for his early death, Jerome Brown would have been there as well.

@@thedoubledowner5359 I loved Jerome Brown. I honestly think his death was why all the players on that defense started leaving. Reggie White, Clyde Simmons, a bunch of them left within a year or two. Well, that and Braman didn't want to pay anybody.

Picking just four players is hard, especially for a lot of the older teams. I tried to do this with the NHL and ended up splitting teams based on era-for the NFL, you could probably do something like pre-Super Bowl era (1920-65), dynasty era (1966-1998), and modern era (1999-).
@michaelhession2105

The first three with the Ravens are correct, but the fourth is so tough just because Lamar hasn't won a ring yet. If he wins a Super Bowl, which could very well happen this year, he will certainly be in the Top 4. For now, I think it's Ozzie Newsome because no one had a better track record at building his team through the draft and replacing free agents and coaches during his stint as GM (1996-2018).

Those 2 were the constant on the Jets online for close to a decade . Chas Pennington. My personal favorite Jets QB. He was consistent and when he was healthy , the Jets won. Unfortunately injuries derailed his career . Al Toon. If it was not for injuries, he maybe a hall of famer . Mo Lewis and Marvin Jones.
