That opening throw by Vick is one of the best deep balls in NFL history
@useyourimaginasean9 ай бұрын
What made it all the more satisfying was that tension between Laron Landry and Desean was very real. It was a pretty common rumor in the league that Landry was juicing and he also laid a lot of guys out, so receivers didn’t like him and a lot of wideouts thought he was a dirty player. The closest player you could compare him to these days is a Jamal Adams type of Safety where you could put him in the box and he was a downhill defender who could help you on the run or with tight end matchups. So having him play deep coverage on Jackson was a huge mistake. Fastest guy in the league against a run-support safety. I can only imagine what Desean was saying backpedaling into the end zone and the satisfaction from putting him on blast.

1st play of the game, that ball was 60 yards in the air! Vick was a beast!

No wonder Andy Reid is so good coaching Pat Mahomes. He got plenty of practice with Michael Vick.

Vick is COMPLETELY different than Mahomes .. Andy Reid is just a great offensive minded coach

Andy Reid loves mobile QB's McNabb, Vick and Mahomes. It fits for his offense. Reid would've made Brady a backup if he drafted him.

This is the greatest all-around performance by a quarterback for a single game and it's not even close

With the single exception of Tom Brady vs. the Falcons, this is the single greatest performance I’ve ever seen by a QB

I wish I could dispute this but sadly it's 100% accurate

this is probably the greatest performance by a quarterback in NFL history. this game highlighted Vick's complete arsenal of passing and running. will probably never see another player like him.

Mike Vick, Shady McCoy, DeSean Jackson, and Jeremy Maclin created a DEADLY offense. Can't forget a young Jason Peters, too.

Now I seen this highlight so many times .. the fact we saw the back story into why Desean not only burned Landry but he turns around and stares him down as he runs backwards in the end zone is pretty fucking awesome

The ref was running stride for stride with DeSean on that 1st play. Good shit!!

Vick, Jackson, McCoy. Man I miss this team. Can't believe how long ago this was.

Ah the dream team, they had so much potential. Vick just couldn’t stay consistently healthy week by week. He took a lot of shots. Still the prettiest spirals I’ve ever seen a Qb throw.
