As a Broncos and Manning fan, this is the game that made me realize a few things. 1. The 2015 Broncos Defense was Top 5 All-Time. To this day, I’ve NEVER seen a more clutch unit that came up with plays when needed. Ever. It’s was almost a given that they’d seal the game. Also, keep in mind the Broncos Offense was mediocre at best with an aging and injured Manning so the Defense was constantly on the field. The Defense was put on the field like 85% of the time yet they still came up clutch every single time. 2. This game made me realize Brady was the GOAT (before SB51). I’ve never seen a QB get roughed up and beaten down so badly as Brady that day, at least in modern times. Yet he still came back and was a 2-PT conversion away from tying it. 3. Brady vs Manning is the Greatest QB Rivalry ever. Brady is the GOAT, but say what you want about Manning, he took 4 head coaches to 4 SB’s, has 5 MVP’s and changed the game. He’s Top 5 All-Time and had a winning record against Brady in the playoffs. Seeing these two battle out over the years was a privilege. My 2 favorite QBs of all time.

Didn't realize it before but this loss for the patriots may be why they won the super bowl against the falcons the following year. They lost the season because they couldn't seal the 2 point conversion. Bill specifically mentioned in practice for the next season that their season may come down to successful 2 point conversions so they practiced them viciously. They needed two in the super bowl to tie that game in the comeback and they completed both.
@jrad41010 күн бұрын
The two point conversions they ran in SB 51 were plays the Pats had been running for years. What this game did was change how they did their oline. Drafted Joe Thuney, brought back Dante.
@onlyskin6348 күн бұрын
the falcons defense was totally gassed by then, it's true that they still needed to come in clutch with those 2 points im but i think revamping the offense was the reason they got there. once it got running in the second half and the defense got the falcons off the field quickly it was unstoppable

Brady on that last drive played absolutely out of his mind despite getting shmacked by the broncos defense. He should’ve targeted gronk on the 2 point as well he had his man beat. Would’ve loved to see OT for this game

Fact about Tom Brady. Brady is 2-5 all time against the Manning Bros in the Playoffs

a personal name of stardom and recognition makes the team competition that much more compelling. I think it’s quality to highlight the star players to recognize how abundantly influential those players are to elevating each respective teams spirit. It’s a team sport of course. When either it was Brady vs Manning or a bit later on Brady vs Mahomes or this weekend Mahomes vs Josh Allen it’s a true testament to the huge influence those players are to the dynamic success of the teams. I know what you’re getting at though. In the 80s NBA it was Magic vs Bird.

To this day I remember the teaser commercial for this game on CBS the week before. "Manning vs Brady. Brady vs Manning. Enjoy it. Could be the last one." Sent shivers done my spine. Never since was I that hyped up for a football game. Probably will never experience that feeling again.

Watching this video before today's conference championship games is fitting. The respect and competitive nature between Brady and Manning is on par with Chamberlain-Russell and Bird-Magic.
