I don’t discredit any player for not being loyal to a franchise but I think a player should be given credit FOR beig loyal to a franchise. Joe Thomas is an all time great and one of the most loyal players in NFL history. He always stuck up for the Browns, Browns players, Browns staff, even Hue Jackson. Just a wonderful guy and the kind you want in the NFL

Cincinnati Bengals (1998-2002) Bengals would make the playoffs in 2005. Buffalo Bills (2003-2006) Philadelphia Eagles (2007) Eagles made the plays every year from 2000-2006, then returned to the playoffs for 2008-2010. the ONLY season they missed was the year he played for them. San Francisco 49ers (2008-2010) The 49ers would make 3x NFC Championship games and 1 Super Bowl appearance immediately after he left in 2011-2013. San Diego Chargers (2011-2012) The Chargers were a playoff team in 2004, 06-09, and would return to the post season the year after Spikes retired in 2013. First-team All-Pro (2004) 2× Pro Bowl (2003, 2004) He was an OLB, but an off ball linebacker, which is essentially a 2nd MLB, not really a pass rusher, but would do it well when asked. Just an all around fantastic player. He is known for his many accomplishments, including being a team captain for 13 seasons and playing in 219 regular season games without making the playoffs
