Yes, they should have won by 50. But to be fair, the 1st one should have been ruled a fumble by the Brown’s and the second one was off a Hail Mary with no time left in Q2, so really ONLY 5 haha.

While this is tied for the Super Bowl era record, there is one performance from 74 years ago that eclipses this. On September 24, 1950, Jim Hardy of the then-Chicago Cardinals threw a whopping eight interceptions in a 45-7 loss to the Eagles. Amazingly, he still managed 193 yards on just 12 completions.

Still remember this game like it was yesterday, and it still hurts the same. Charlie Batch, who didn't play bad in the first game at Green Bay, was benched for "Morningwheg's" boy Ty Detmer. He threw 7 interceptions this game and was STILL allowed to start the following weeks Monday night game against the Rams. These were some painful years for sure....
@paulgaither
@paulgaither 17 күн бұрын
How about that time that Jake Delhomme threw 5 ints in in the divisional round and essentially killed his career? Prior to that game, he had 15TDs and 12ints and helped the Panthers go 12-4 and earn the #2 seed, which then included a first round bye and a home game. The Giants would lose to the Eagles and the Panthers could have hosted the NFC Championship game with a win. instead, Delhome would throw 5ints and the Panthers would get smoked and shakey Jakey was never the same. In the season opener loss against the Philadelphia Eagles, Delhomme went 7 of 17 for 73 yards with four interceptions and a lost fumble, before getting benched for journeyman Josh McCown. Delhomme threw game-ending interceptions the next 2 games, and 2 touchdowns and 7 interceptions with a 54.3 rating through the first 3 games. After the team's bye week, Delhomme still struggled. In his next three games, he had 2 more touchdowns to 6 more interceptions. In the next four games however, Delhomme only threw 1 interception. In spite of this improved performance, the team went 2-2 in those 4 games. Delhomme's bad performance continued with a 0 TD, 4 INT game against the New York Jets. Delhomme was placed on season-ending injured reserve on December 24, 2009, and was released by the Panthers on March 5, 2010. On March 13, 2010, Delhomme signed a two-year deal with the Cleveland Browns. For the season, he threw two touchdowns and seven interceptions while going 2-3 as a starter. Delhomme signed with the Houston Texans on November 29, 2011, after quarterbacks Matt Schaub and Matt Leinart went down with season-ending injuries. Despite his experience, Delhomme was signed to back up rookie fifth-round draft pick T. J. Yates, as Yates had been with the team the entire season. That story of Houston is also interesting, as they also had Jeff Garcia in the wings as well on a playoff run. I still say, the Divisonal round game vs the Cardinals was the unofficial end of his career. the key turning point he never recovered from.

Anthony Henry was a good corner in this League. I remember his time with the Cowboys well.

Nathan Peterman would have easily had the record. He had 5 interceptions in the first half of his first starting game for the Bills. They benched him in the second half but he was determined to hit double digit interceptions if he had played the whole game.

5:29 - Respect to Tim Couch for going in for the tackle himself after throwing an Interception. Not a lot of qbs do that

Sadly, I remember this game. Don't know why I kept watching after 5 int back then. I guess that how you know you're a Detroit Lions fan

Crazy with how bad the Lions stats were for that game and they were still in the game in the 4th. Also, the second interception shouldn't have happened. If you watch the play clock, it was at zero for at least three seconds before the snap. It should have been a delay of game penalty, not the 2nd pick.

#2 was forgivable. As for the other six... Gotta love how one of his first passes is almost intercepted, and the DB is frustrated that he couldn't bring it in, as if that might have been his only chance that day.

The seventh one was also kind of a Hail Mary. Third and 17, down 10 with 4 minutes to go, they were just throwing it uo there

7 INTs in a single game, by the same QB is wild. What’s more wild is that Ty Detmer was a starting QB in the NFL in 2001.

It's really hard to stay in a NFL game long enough to throw 7 Ints. Most would get benched after the 4th one.
